You forgot the ne'er-do-wells, cads and rapscallions.

Tip of the hat to slatterns and knaves. :)

the conversation that started out as "why do canadians care?" ... forgive me for zoning out of that one...

Why do Canadians care? Can you articulate your beliefs so they can be subjected to scrutiny? Probably not.

the conversation that started out as "why do canadians care?" ... forgive me for zoning out of that one.

I know you're a bit dense, but Israel has been deliberately targeting civilians, which is indeed a war crime. This is nothing new from Israel.
I've already stated I don't support Hamas a couple times now, you need to stop glossing over threads before you post you already don't have a reputation for being very bright as it is.

Can you prove that Israel has deliberately targeted civilians? Probably not.

Gazans know that if they lay down their arms they will be exterminated.

Not likely.

http://fas.org/sgp/crs/mideast/RL33222.pdf[1]
In 2007, the Bush Administration and the Israeli government agreed to a 10-year, $30 billion military aid package for the period from FY2009 to FY2018
That's about $8.5 million in "defense" aid to Israel every day.

Is Obama fulfilling the deal? If so, denounce Obama.

Good point, the only rational solution is to target Palestinian civilians, including children.
IDF isn't better than HAMAS, they've proven that over and over again that they're just as despicable. They've slaughtered more children and innocents then Hamas ever will, but "what about the rockets!!!!" ,,, "WHAT ABOUT THEIR CHARTER OOHOH NO".. Israel is acting out Hamas' charter, against the Palestinians.

There's nothing special about Israel or the Palestinians. Why don't you care about the Tibetans or the Congolese? Hypocrite.

Dr Bassel Abu Ward, a doctor working at the Al Shifa hospital in Gaza tweets: Several buildings inside the hospital that I am working in (al-Shifa hospital ) are being evacuated after an Israeli bomb threat

No such person exists. You made him up.

The Zionist Empire like all others before it are subject to the laws of nature and the consequences of refutation of those laws are irrefutably fixed for all human time.

Love your syntax.

That red wasn't from me but I admit that was first thought so I'll give you a green to make up for my sin. You are allowed to highlight some portion of the post that 'caught your eye'.

Why do you think there is all this idle chit-chat? I've never seen a Nation implode in one day. That doesn't sound very pleasant. The Gaza type threads are at the top not because of importance (they are) but it means nothing is being done to publish the lack of commitment of Europe to slit their own throat to save the US, for a decade at best. Europe knows when to fall down so they can rise again in a few 100 years or so, the US is a firster in that dept. Sadly so is Canada and the UK is like the forest that was kept safe for 100's of years, when a fire does start all that undergrowth makes it burns out of control. I wonder if Iceland is taking in refugees, hot-tubs and broadband and free electricity and 40% beer.

Don’t use me as your propaganda weapon
I spent a night at the Shifa hospital in Gaza two weeks ago. I was covering the situation in Gaza for my newspaper.
My story was about the Palestinian civilians who were victims of war. My article started with a story of four little boys who were killed on the beach the same day. They were playing on the beach when Israeli army hit them without any clear reason or warning. I interviewed a boy who survived from the attack. The Shifa hospital was full of women and children who were victims of this ugly war. I described their stories in detail.
During the night someone launched a rocket somewhere behind the hospital. Now this sentence from my article is spreading in the pro-Israeli medias. I mentioned this in my article because I’m a professional journalist. I try to cover the events truthfully as I see them and I strongly condemn these kind of actions.
But I find it very disgusting how this one sentence was taken out context to be used as an excuse to target civilians in Gaza. My story became quickly a tool of propaganda. The people sharing this story are not even trying to understand the situation as a whole. They are just looking for excuses to Israeli actions in Gaza.
I refuse to be part of this kind of propaganda.

All the dancing around doesn't negate the fact as she said it....!

Forty questions for the international media in Gaza

Reprinted with the permission of the author from the (excellent) British “Harry’s place” blog.

1. Have you or any of your colleagues been intimidated by Hamas?
2. Do you feel restricted in your ability to ‘say what you see’ in Gaza?
3. How do you feel about the Spanish journalist who said Hamas would kill any journalist if they filmed rocket fire?
4. Has Hamas pressured you to delete anything you have published?
5. Has Hamas ever threatened to take your phone, laptop or camera?
6. Has Hamas ever taken the phone, laptop or camera of a colleague in Gaza?
7. Have you seen Hamas fighters in Gaza?
8. If yes, why have you not directly reported Hamas fighting activity when you are eye-witnesses in Gaza, but rather indirectly reported about what the IDF says they Hamas has done?
9. Are you scared to publish photos of Hamas operatives on your Twitter page, or broadcast images of Hamas fighting and aggression on your news channel?
10. Have you published any photos of terrorists launching rockets in Gaza? If so, are these images being turned down by your newspaper or broadcaster?
11. Have you thought of interviewing the traumatised residents of southern Israel?
12. When Israeli authorities say that most of the dead in Gaza are terrorists, and Hamas says most of the dead in Gaza are civilians, how do you differentiate?
13. When Hamas Health Ministry statistics contradict Hamas’ own propaganda and reveal that mostly men of fighting age have died so far in Gaza, does it give you pause for thought?
14. Is an underage armed terrorist still counted as a terrorist or a child when killed? Or both? Do you explain to your readers how this is possible?
15. Have you put to Hamas spokespersons that firing rockets from civilian areas in a war situation will draw return fire and lead to the death of civilians?
16. Nick Casey of the Wall Street Journal tweeted: “you have to wonder with the shelling, how patients at Shifa hospital feel as Hamas uses it as a safe place to see media.” Never mind wondering; did you ask any patients how they feel?
17. And how do you feel about the fact that Casey subsequently deleted his tweet?
18. Russia Today journalist Harry Fear mentioned rocket-launching sites near his hotel. Have you noticed any terrorists or terror bases near your hotel?
19. How do you feel about Fear’s expulsion from Gaza, for tweeting about the rocket launches from civilian areas? Are you worried that you might also be expelled from Gaza?
20. Did you see any Hamas terror personnel inside Al-Shifa hospital?
21. Have you interviewed a Hamas spokesperson inside Al-Shifa?
22. Have you seen any rocket-launching sites in or around the vicinity of a hospital?
23. Have you interviewed hospital staff or patients as to how they feel about their buildings being used for terror activity?
24. Hamas’ command and control bunker is underneath Al Shifa hospital. Is this worth reporting? Have you asked to gain access to it, so you can interview Hamas commanders?
25. French newspaper Liberation reported that Hamas’ Al Qassam offices are next to the emergency room at Shifa hospital, before deleting the article. Was the reporter right to delete the article, and will the information appear in the media at some point still?
26. When the missile hit Al-Shati hospital where children were killed, did you see Hamas operatives collecting the debris of the fallen Palestinian rocket, as Gabriel Barbati reported? Did Barbati pick up on something you missed?
27. Barbati prefaced his tweet by writing “Out of Gaza, far from Hamas retaliation.” Will you also report differently about Gaza when you are out of Gaza, far from Hamas retaliation?
28. Can live journalism by reporters who are scared of retaliation from the authorities they are reporting about really count as pure journalism, or is journalism in that context fundamentally compromised?
29. Have you seen or heard evidence of Hamas using civilians as human shields, by forcing or “encouraging” them to stay inside or enter into a building that has received a knock on the roof?
30. Have you seen or heard evidence of Hamas storing weapons inside schools, houses, flats, mosques or hospitals?
31. Have you interviewed Gazan residents to find out if they have – or know someone who has – a tunnel dug underneath their house? How do they feel about this?
32. Have you tried to interview any of the parents of the 160 Palestinian children who died building the terror tunnels?
33. Have you asked Hamas spokespersons why they are setting out to murder children by firing rockets towards civilian populations?
34. Have you interviewed any UNRWA officials about why Hamas are storing weapons in their schools, and how the weapons got there?
35. Are you currently investigating how Hamas rockets ended up in UNRWA schools?
36. Are you currently investigating why UNRWA returned rockets to Hamas and their police force?
37. When Hamas breaks a ceasefire with Israel – as it has done 6 times – how easy is it to report on this from Gaza?
38. Is there any anti-Hamas sentiment in Gaza, and how is it expressed?
39. Were you aware that Hamas chose to execute dozens of anti-war protesters in Gaza, and did you not consider this to be worth
reporting?
40. Is international media reporting from Gaza free from pressure and intimidation, or is there a real problem – and if so, how will you address it?

France: Israel security does not justify ‘slaughter’

Of course not!!

I mean, the fact the Jews were being marched into the gas chambers was no reason for them to fall out of line!!

Uppity Jews.

You know, let's ignore the FACT that there were hundreds of children killed digging Hamas' tunnels. Nobody weeps for them.

Oh, and let's pretend there are no tunnels into Israel, allowing access for Hamas to enter at will to kidnap and murder Jews.

Let's ignore the fact that the demographics of the dead in Gaza point to a very well directed IDF campaign against terrorists........and disprove entirely any accusation of IDF targeting civilians as policy.

Let's ignore the fact that the UN admits missiles were hidden in UN schools.....and then gives the missiles back to Hamas!!

Let's ignore the Finnish reporter telling of missiles fired from hospital parking lots.

Let's ignore the genocide, denial of peace, love of death, and determination to completely destroy Israel found in the Hamas Charter.

Let's Ignore the fact Israel is a functioning democracy, and Gaza is a tyranny run by Islamofascists.

Let's completely ignore the fact that the Hamas command and control centre is built underneath a hospital.

Oh, and let's forget that Hamas uses ambulances to transport weapons and fighters.

And heck! Let's ignore the 3,000 missiles fired into Israel.

And let's forget about the damage and injury done by Hamas missiles falling short.

And we'll pretend Hamas did not break ceasefire after ceasefire.

And we will ignore the Muslim-on-Muslim mass violence simultaneously going on in Iraq and Syria....

Because, well...

THE JOOS!!!!!!

But heck, we're not biased against them or anything.

Good idea to ignore all those things because it's a bunch of horse****..

"3,000 missiles fired into Israel", but there's only 3 Israeli civilians reported dead? We know the Iron Dome isn't that efficient.

"Let's ignore the fact that the demographics of the dead in Gaza point to a very well directed IDF campaign against terrorists........and disprove entirely any accusation of IDF targeting civilians as policy."

Your bar graph didn't prove anything. We do have historical evidence through out the decades-long conflict that Israel has used targeting civilians as a strategy (Dahiya doctrine) and there is no reason to believe they aren't doing it again.

What if both sides were Jewish, who would you defend ? That would take your racial biases out of the equation and start focusing solely on the reality.

35. Are you currently investigating how Hamas rockets ended up in UNRWA schools?
36. Are you currently investigating why UNRWA returned rockets to Hamas and their police force?

35. Yes, bad propellent due to shoddy imports. Solution, build 3 mile island offshore as a port/airport.
36. No, the teachers sent in a e-mail asking what they should do and that was our suggestion. Cutting back on a certain component was one of the school kids ideas so now the schools will no longer be hit by Hamas projectiles.

How much did the original author get for coming up with this list?

Canadian girl, 8, trapped in Gaza while doctor dad saves lives | Toronto Star

Even after 26 days in a country at war, Salma Abuzaiter still believes the boom of an air strike is the happy sound of fireworks.
The 8-year-old from Brantford was visiting family in Gaza City with her father when war erupted, bringing an end to sun-filled days playing outdoors with her cousins.
Her mother, Wesam Abuzaiter, has desperately been trying to get Salma safely out since the first day of fighting.

MY bias....lol

After awhile, your ability to ignore the facts as reported by neutral observers, or by the Palestinians themselves....becomes laughable.
