The stats are all in the Stats Canada Website. Why don't you show us how smart you are and dig them up and show them to the other posters.
I have done it and I have the Stats to support what I'm saying, you don't!!

Still a lot of silly noise here but so far nothing constructive on my posts except a lot of demonstration of ignorance,,, eh Goober!!

Up to you Bucky. Not me. You made the claim, back it up.
Or can you?

We'll of course I'm right otherwise you would have told me where I'm wrong!!

Here is another issue you can chew on.
Under the present immigration policy a man and his wife can immigrate to Canada even at 65 years of age.
They can come here and retire when they get here. There is nothing to prevent this from happening presently.

They are entitled to have 100% of their health care paid for as soon as they become citizens.
They are entitled to welfare like anybody else.
If they need hospital care, say knee surgery, they will get EXACTLY the same service the guy worked here all his life and paid taxes here all his, he will get NO extra service for this.

They will also be fully entitled to get into a ling term care facility fully paid by Canadians.

Final note, do you know that in Toronto, 60% of the seniors are immigrants and the general population is made up of only about 22% immigrants..
In Vancouver it's something like 50% are immigrants.

Does this tell you anything????

I'd say it's a pretty good deal ...eh!!
I'd say you want all the Socialist goodies for your Socialist self.

In other words, he really doesn't have a clue what he's talking about. We'd be better off if you and your family took your lazy immigrant a$$ back to where you came from.

Definately no more refugeesin Canada. All this will do is drive down wages , lower our standard of living and raise government expenes. This is just another ploy for global wealth redistribution by the same groups that atempted the same thing with the global warming scam. Let the UN deal with the problems in the regions they exist in, don't drag us down as well.

Weren't you provided with Socialist goodies long before you started to pay for them?

Send them to Israel. It's closer.

I was thinking China or India. Both of them are used to crowdedconditions anyway and don' appear to be taking their fair share of refugees. Why should it always be up to us?

I guess I can look at my own life and ponder the opportunities I've had to work and take care of my family and myself , and I realize that these were not necessarily the rights I've had, as much as they were privileges. There is a big difference between rights and privileges. I'm thinking that my Irish ancestors that came to this country from a life of hardship, thought pretty much the same way.

Ok, first of all I'll post a teaser!! I have a lot more but I'm not sure your smart enough to understand it.

This link shows that Toronto has 60% immigrant seniors and Vancouver has 50%. Surely you should know that Canada's general population is made up of about 20% immigrants.

It's a bar graph so I'm not sure your bright enough to understand it. I also have more recent Stats, but this is a good starter!!

I recall my great-grandmother telling me tales of Murphys and famine and seasickness. To hear her speak, it wasn't a right or privilege as much as it was good fortune and Grace. As bitchy as I get about my own detest for government ineptitude, her words still give me pause to reflect. We DO have it pretty good here
