Simply outstanding hockey, JLM. Those Habs.......they sure know how to entertain us even when they are being their own worst enemy. Those stupid penalties - urghh! I guess they like doing things the hard way, eh.
!

yeah mowich, because i missed much of the game, hAd to review, and those were very stupid penalties indeed.

hitting and hurting each other is one thing, but 'acting', isn't even in the rule book, belongs on stage.

Another reason why the NHL isn't what it once was-too much like Soccer now.

glad i didn't see it live.

yeah, and if one talks to soccer people, they say that is a strategic part of the game, jeesh.
i can't watch it either, also because it is just too slow, i do appreciate the talent, i can see
the difficulty of the game, but too many games decided on corner kicks, as no one can score a
goal during regulation play., at least in hockey, the shoot out comes because of a tie, which is
usually 4-4, or 3-3, etc.but very rare to be 0-0.

Does anyone remember Patrick Roy playing against NY in 86 at MSG? That was the best goaltending performance I can remember seeing.

It was the conference final on the way to the Habs winning the cup.

I wonder why Subban is not the captain. He seems to be a born leader and he skates miles.

Was really impressed by how PK was right there for Weise last night. Dale barely had a chance to wobble a couple of times when PK got there to help him out. It was great to see on two levels - it showed PK's compassion for his teammate and, it stopped any possible retribution that Weise might have had in mind - that is if his mind was working at all right then. Helluva of hit - I winced each time they replayed it. PK rocks big time.

I've already made up my mind the Habs have won game 6. The best player on the ice is P.K. Subban. Just wish he would know when it's time to take a rest - 13/4 minutes shifts are ridiculous!

I'm not taking my Canadian's T off until they get to the Cup. I just spray it with febreze once in awhile. ;-)

yeah james duthie is a gem, and ray ferraro in my opinion is the best sports analyst in the game. i was
hoping that somehow, he would end up in the canuck organization, but not sure where he would fit, of course
he could learn to be anything he wanted in the game, but right now he is very green, but i do know he would
love to be part of the organization, as he said that 'he would certainly listen' if they contacted him, i
would love to have his airmiles account, as he lives on planes.
i have long since become tired of ron mclean, his antics, by stepping out of his boundaries of knowledge,
and sticking his nose in where it doesn't belong, has finished me with him, and i'm very glad that when
rogers takes over he will be gone, and i hope he takes coaches corner with him, enough is enough.
bob mckenzie is also tops in sports analyzing, but he has stated that he isn't many years short of retirement, and seems he is looking forward to 'that cottage' on the lake life.

i'm very glad that rogers sportsnet will take over all of hockey in canada, and cbc will be 'long gone', in
that catagorie.

i'm hoping that they get rid of the 'buffoonery of cherry' and bring canada's hockey broadcasts into the
present, more sofisticated and modern, don't need the cartoon type stuff, it has become embArrassing.

I like Bob McKenzie a lot and have learned so much about hockey just listening to him. I take the game seriously, the reporting and analysis I view for the most part as simply entertainment much as I do with all the reporting etc about football. It is all the game and the team for me. If I learn something from the talk that goes on between periods or quarters, it that is all to the good. If I am entertained by it - that's good too.

so, how will we get all of that valuable hockey analyzing from ferraro now, As he is finished on tsn.
i know he will be on 'hockey canada', but that isn't nearly often enough.

Never mind- just focus on the Habs!

why !!!!!

not true that if habs lose this series it is because they don't have price, and that
would make the difference, well, they all make a point of
'forgetting' that the rangers scored 4 goals on price before he left the game, whats the excuse
there, why wasn't he invincible in that game, or doesn't that one count.

the kid saved one game for the habs, he played 'lights out', when rangers outplayed them
badly, so if rangers win this series, it isn't because price isn't playing.

apparantly price is practicing in full gear, but coach still says he isn't playing in this
series at all, wonder if he is playing games with everyone, but if i were him i wouldn't
put price back in right now, the kid is doing fine, might backfire.
he is a very efficient goalie, should be given the chance to finish this series, as
opposed to bringing in price who was injured, and might not be on top of his game,
as, when he left the first game, he hadn't been on top of his game either.

ok, its finally over, and back to california on friday for game 6. this game changed back and
forth from hawks to kings dominating play, and much of the game was pretty even.

on we go, where we stop nobody knows.

chicago 5, l.a. 4, in beginning of double overtime.

chicago will have their hands full, as they have not been very good at all
away from chicago, and they have to win on friday to stay alive.

Suddenly both LA and NY have some pressure to win. Not do or die like their opponents but losing game 6 would really turn the tables.

for sure, LA definitely won't want to go back to chicago, and rangers won't want to go bAck to montreal,
for those 'game 7s'.

the west was much stronger than the east all season, BUT, when finals roll around, it is not all of the west,
its only one team, so all of that goes out the window, and it is just the two teams who fought their
way to the end, and rangers and habs are allready better than they were starting the playoffs, and so
are the western teams, will be a good final, (i hope).

good luck to rangers and the habs, have a good one.

don't understand the weise situation, he went to the quiet room, then was allowed to come
back and play, now he can't play. what happened to the protocol concerning head hits.

Well, the best team won it tonight although not necessarily the best goalie. I think the Habs ran the tank a little low in game 5!

lunquist is an amazing goalie, among the best in the league, had a bit of an off night last night,
but that happens to all of them at one time or another.

he is a gem, just as good as price and quick.

it was all rangers tonight, glad they pulled it off, as they are the better team to be going to the
finals, they will give the western champion the best fight.

so glad for vigneault, and his assistant, scott arneil, who was the coach of the manitoba moose a while back, so there
is a close connection to the canucks. thats good.
