So you still don't quite get this whole scientific consensus concept do you?

Oh, but I do.

Like was asked earlier; Wonder how the 97% consensus #'s will be changing with the loss of support from an entire nation.

But there is hope for you truthers yet... The true believers will continue-on in their quest to study and develop more modles of Mother Gaia... All it will take is for the individuals to fund the research themselves or maybe the IPCC and Greenpeace will crack open their wallets.

LOL on that right?.. I guess we'll see how serious these true believers are now that the gvt funds have dried up

BTW, given the polling numbers, it seems like the majority of the people in Australia don't consider their their will.

The Aussies voted for da man.. Me thinks that the electorate probably voted him in based on (in part) his rejection of AGW.

... Bitter tears, eh BR?... Bitter tears

The primary reason why Abbott was voted in was because everybody was sick and tired of the Gillard Government's constant bickering and in-fighting amongst each other, with one party leader stabbed in the back to be replaced by another and then another.

It can be summed up as this:

People didn't vote for Abbott because they believed he'd do a good job, they voted him in because he was the only other alternative.

They should have stuck with the bitter infighting as it was a better situation.

The poling numbers are clear. People don't like this budget.

But regardless, what would that have to do with the consensus among scientists studying this?

A 7 year term so far.

A minority PC government usually unites the left.

Why do you think Harper is trying to push through so much at once?

It's because he knows the kind of power he wills won't last long.

To ship oil to China while putting sanctions on them. Perhaps you missed the Russian/Chinese pipeline already in the works.

Russia-China Pipeline - Business Insider
Russian President Vladimir Putin told Chinese media that the strength of Russia-China relations is at an all-time high as the two countries are reportedly finalizing a 30-year gas-supply deal. "Now Russia-China cooperation is advancing to a new stage of comprehensive partnership and strategic interaction," Putin said. "It would not be wrong to say that it has reached the highest level in all its centuries-long history."
The gas deal, which has been on the table for over 10 years, would send 38 billion cubic meters of natural gas to China each year starting in 2018 with the potential to expand the annual capacity to 61 billion cubic meters.
China consumed about 170 billion cubic meters of natural gas in 2013 and set a target of up to 420 billion cubic meters a year by 2020.

Yeah we all know that China is such a small market.

Pretty much. Abbott said they wouldn't introduce new taxes if elected and here we are with a bigger tax on fuel, an additional fee to pay every time you see a doctor, and piles of cut backs to pension, health care, education, unemployment support (centrelink) family / child assistance bonuses, etc. Etc..... He says it's good for Australia, but it sure as hell isn't good for the people of Australia.

And this is the same group who has the finance minister who held a lavish banquet for other financial big wizzes with loads of money, at the expense of tax payers:

No Cookies | The Courier-Mail

TREASURER Joe Hockey wined and dined world financial leaders at the G20 conference in Washington in April, at a celebration that cost taxpayers $50,000 for the services of celebrity chef Shane Delia.

A spokesman for Mr Hockey said the $50,000 dinner represented “excellent value for money’’.

The cost of the lavish G20 dinner has been revealed just days after Mr Hockey handed down a brutal Budget that could cost some families up to $5000 a year as a result of cuts to family payments and increased medical costs.

On the menu at his Washington dinner was barramundi, Victorian Wagyu beef, WA truffles and a “eucalyptus ice” dressed with Tasmanian leatherwood honey.

Despite declaring “the age of entitlement is over’’ in his Budget speech, Mr Hockey’s own Treasury department paid the TV chef to fly business class and airlift truffles from Australia to Washington DC last month

How ironic that he says this is the end of the entitlement age, slaps a bunch of taxes on people, cuts the funding for just about everything and then uses tax payer's money to have a $50,000 dinner to show off to others to "make an impression" and defends it all with such an "Entitled" attitude.

The politicians have engaged the will of the people... The electorate has sent a strong message that they believe AGW is a big steaming pile of BS

This isn't about the budget now, is it?

That said, the electorate will be ecstatic that they aren't wasting anymore taxpayer cash on a loser like AGW funding.

PS - Scientists are voters too and and apparently, they as the general electorate, don't support AGW either

The politicians have engaged the will of the people... The electorate has sent a strong message that they believe AGW is a big steaming pile of BS

Then why did their polling numbers plummet after releasing this plan?

This isn't about the budget now, is it?

Did you read any part of this thread?

That said, the electorate will be ecstatic that they aren't wasting anymore taxpayer cash on a loser like AGW funding.

See the polling numbers.

PS - Scientists are voters too and and apparently, they as the general electorate, don't support AGW either

Lol, you must have brain damage. I hope you are just trolling.
