There is no such thing as "climate science"

Personally I believe there is too much money in the special interest group
category to just move on. Most of the climate change has been an on going
saga called the life cycle of the planet. Hot cold and in between. I don't
believe most of the nonsense and fear mongering anyway. Oh and I won't
be giving up my V8 truck and air conditioning anytime soon

Which is why you would be a Republican Right Winger down here!

AS I ALWAYS SAID

Embrace the horror!

Looks to me like no real severe sh*t since 2005, so maybe it's just our strong imagination! At first glance I was going to suggest stay the f**k out of Galveston.

The facts and reality really knocked you on your butt didn't it JLM!?

And our Blue Font expert comes in calling facts semantics!

Are you farging kidding me!

Pretty friggin' fickle bunch who would categorize someone based on one issue! -:)

I don't think I've ever been surprised by the facts and reality, which are man continues to have an effect on the planet and the worse his/her behaviour the worse the effect! -:)

You stick to that indefensible position even after I showed you how wrong you were? You were proven wrong with real facts and you still stick with the alarmist position.

You were stiff armed and you can only respond with this? No wonder why Tonnington and the Cobalt Kid came rushing in!

Oh well...just a matter of time. Just like TFWs... a matter of time. :)

I do embrace it. As a monkey that gave up hair to use protein for brains and brawn I'd be happy with an environment that mean't wearing less clothing and using less energy just for survival purposes like during the Roman days. I'd look good in either a sheet or a leather skirt.

In this day and that might lead to great income from tapping into the gay up skirt porn video market.

Lemons to lemonade.

Bummer eh? You started yesterday morning so strong and now you're reduced to this.

Have fun flushing the TFWs from Canada. They're there and they aren't going anywhere!

The earth's natural climate is going to be the least of your worries.

A colloquialism doesnt put a BSc on your wall. That is all the term "climate scientist" amounts to is a colloquialism and nothing more.

You are right about this, it is not an officially defined word. It is a word often used to refer to people from a variety of backgrounds who do research in this area.

So how in the world do you reconcile this with you constant attempts to assign a specific definition and a specific list of values to anyone who is referred to as working in climate science.

With the way that the term is used, and the way you choose to flatly reject anyone referred to in that way, you are willfully rejecting anyone who has actually done research in this area.

Did you go through the list of "climate scientists" provided? On that list, how many are directly involved in researching the mechanics of climate both past and present?

Countable on one hand?

What is the purpose of an agronomist or psychologist being called a "climate scientist"?

You wouldn't believe a psychologist if he told you what crop to sow on your land Non?

Lol, here you go again. You claimed it was a colloquialism, now you are trying to argue about it as some sort of official classification, based on some wikipedia list no less.

In the study that you referenced, all that the term means is that they do most of their research on climate. Who exactly do you think should be the authority on these things if not the people actually doing research in the field?

Not unless it was a crop science psychologist then I'd have to listen and take him/her seriously because happy plants are my goal

Sorry I don't do sarcasim in purple.

So you haven't reviewed the list? There are economist/climate scientists. You might be able to relate.

Just in case you can't find the list of self dubbed "climate scientists" have a boo.

Climate Science Program: Iowa State University

If you want to attack that 97% figure, you need to look at who was actually counted in that study, not some completely unrelated wikipedia page.

BTW, nobody but you has claimed that that page from Iowa State was the official definition of "climate science". You yourself claim to know that it isn't an officially defined term.

That page was posted in response to your question about if any schools actually offer programs in that field.

I most certainly did look at who was counted to reach that number. It was people already convinced who published pro-AGW papers. That is why it as ridiculous as asking beer drinkers if they like beer.

If they are doing research in that area, and the research points towards that conclusion, why would you expect anything else? You can't cherry pick who you count based on them not agreeing with your assumptions.

What do agronomists, psychologists and economists have to do with researching , data collect and interpretation of the physical attributes of climate?

None. Absolutely none.

Why are you arguing against a wikipedia article that nobody cares about?

If you are concerned with the 97% study, provide some references about who was included in that study, not an unrelated wikipedia page.
