This isn't Uncle Sam's problem. If the US gets involved fighting Boko Haram there will probably be retribution against Americans. It makes sense to mind our own business.
Yeah, and when some of our girls are kidnapped do you want everyone else to mind their own business? There comes a time in life when you have to take a stand.
Entire families have been kidnapped in Colombia, Venezuela, and Mexico. Far more have died because of these crimes there but it has gotten far less attention.
The Nigerian government has successfully attacked Boko Haram in the past but many escaped into Cameroon and Niger where the governments have weak militaries. With help from al-qaeda and other groups they have re-armed and infiltrated Nigerian government authorities. All the more reason why the OAS should step in.
