About eight years ago Harper promised to do something about the senate. He also promised not to appoint any more senators. In that eight years he has done nothing about the senate and he also appointed about fifty new senators. It seems his priorities slipped or his memory has.

Whoa!! Not quite fair.

Harper appointed NO Senators for quite some time, until attrition of old Mulroney Senators left the Liberals with a clear majority in the Senate, and the Liberals set out to block all gov't business passed in the House.

Harper had NO choice in the matter, thanks to Liberal partisanship.

Really, and where was he kissing up to murderers? I heard him say that Harper needs to differentiate between the citizens of Iran and the government. I agree.

It really does not matter WHAT the citizens of Iran think if and when the gov't gets nukes...

He complains about the closing of the embassy.........after Iran murdered one Canadian, and was using the embassy to recruit.

He says he is of the philosophy that we all need to talk....no, we don't.

And he whines about Canada's unbending support for free, democratic Israel.

His brother and advisor actually made pro-Iranian propaganda..... "The New Great Game", about Iran’s courageous decision to defy America and Israel. Sacha made it in co-operation with Press TV, the state-run propaganda agency of Iran."

Bad advice: Think Justin Trudeau’s instincts are scary? Take a look at what two of his advisers have to say | Columnists | Opinion | Toronto Sun

It would be a huge mistake to make this idiot PM.

No, it's a huge mistake to undieingly support Israel in whatever they say or do, which is what harper does and is doing. There is no criticism of Israel whatsoever. There is no criticism allowed of Israel, and let me be crystal clear here, I am talking about the State of Israel, not the "Jews".

Yep. With you, I actually believe that.

I do NOT however believe it is a mistake to support Israel, which is the frontier of western civilization in a land of medieval Islamic lunacy.

History is a clash of philosophies and ideas, and it is nice to be on the right side.

There is a difference between support, and fawning all over. I also don't get off on the fact that any criticism of Israel is automatically labeled "anti-Semitic".

I don't agree with how Israel treats Palestinians. I don't think we should be giving Israel our unconditional support for that very reason. I also don't like the idea of choosing the "lesser evil" which is basically the argument I hear from Israeli supporters. It's always about the other Countries in the area. It's like saying that we should support Hamas because they aren't as bad as AlQueda.
