U of R cheerleaders' cowboys-and-Indians photo was normal; politically correct reaction was extreme

Kevin Hampson;
The multiculturalist platitude goes like this: Europeans in the past had colonies and aboriginal peoples lost their culture. Now, as retribution, westerners are supposed to disavow their own culture and "accept and respect" other cultures instead.
But countless non-European cultures have had empires. Why doesn't the p-c crowd demand the same punishment for them?
Further, how many generations must be punished for the sins of their fathers? If you read the academic literature, you'll see that it is meant to continue until western culture is annihilated(*).
*With the notable exception of western academia.

well, at least they wrestled those ridiculous poms poms out of their tight little fists, don't know
how they managed to do that, but i'm sure they are close by somewhere, not out of sight, for sure.

Is politically correct even politically correct any more?
I don't even know what it means any more, it was done for the right reasons and now it's out of control...and it has zero to do with hurt feelings.. it is a manipulative tool used by those with any agenda to manipulate the guilt ridden.

When that happens, politically correct becomes politically incorrect, we will have entered into a paradox which will rip apart the very framework of space and time.

Which is bad.

But on the upside, we won't have to listen to anyone whine anymore.

Two things here.

Is this implying that being respectful of others is a punishment?

Also, where on earth do you find academic literature that talks about punishing Europeans until western culture is annihilated?

In Locutus' imagination.

But countless non-European cultures have had empires. Why doesn't the p-c crowd demand the same punishment for them?

Umm. . . because Canada is a European culture?

Just guessing.
