Russian forces — backed by helicopter gunships — take control of Ukrainian village outside Crimea | National Post

I said to my wife days ago thaty Obama, if he had cojones, would be on the phone to the president of Ukraine saying "Ask me for soldiers.........I'll have a token force there in 24 hours, and a much larger force there ASAP to defend Ukraine outside Crimea"

But Obama is a drooling moron, a bunny among wolves....he impresses Putin like Chamberlain (and Willy King) impressed Hitler.

Like Little Red Riding Hood impressed the Big Bad Wolf.

Idiot.

"Hey Moron!! The 80's ARRIVED, and they have their geo-political reality back"

The Great Power Game never changes, and community organizers are not qualified to play.

What sources do you consider reliable?
Do either one of you young lads know what Pravda or Novosti mean or who they represent and further to that question do you know who Dmitry Kiselyov is and who appointed him to be the head of the state owned news in Russia ?

Now before you compare him to anyone we have here read and listen to his news casts and writings and then tell everyone about how Putin and Russia are better than all of us here in Canada .

One more question and this is for the 2 of you

"Why do you hate Canada and like Russia so much ?

A BBC commentator observed not even the stupid advocate military intervention by the West. Reading the latter comments on this board, apparently he was wrong.

There are no easy one line answers to any of this . Now most talk like they are watching a game with no effect on them or anything else in their life when this happens so I will ask what you believe should be done and why ?

I can only speak for myself. I'm not young and I don't hate geographical locations. I'm not stupid enough to believe that any talking head is better than the next. If I can't recognize admit and address the stupidity in my own country and it's guilt in the global crisis then I'm not qualified to criticize the other. Maybe you want the destruction of Russia, I don't know, but I do know that dominance of the globe by one central power would mean abject slavery for all of us wage slaves. A balance of power must be wrested from the hidden manipulative hands. It's not about survival of any one nation but about the continuation of the species.

Where does it end? The US will be paying off their meddling wars in Iraq and Afganistan for decades to come while their infrastructure crumbles around them. And former NATO commander Adm. James Stavridis apparently thinks Obama's Administration is handling it just about right.

Russia is bleeding money right now as investors flock away. They've lost about one fifth of the value in their stock market since this political crisis began, and Germany now, even as a major consumer of Russian energy is threatening sanctions. The Russian economy gets one quarter of it's GDP from energy, it's a matter of who can outlast whom right now.

First you explain the invasion of Ukraine. I don't doubt this invasion, not a bit.

I get the destruction of Russia from the economic war now being conducted against it. You will also recall the much sought after global dominion expressed interminably by the money masters. They must congeal into one monolithic power or cease to exist.

I wonder what he would have advised in 1938???

Morons love to insinuate other people are stupid. :)

So, to you signing treaties is simply an exercise in penmanship????

(see the treaty guaranteeing Ukrainian territorial integrity in return for her nuclear disarmanent, 1992)

Until recently Russia was waging an economic war on Ukraine. There is no "one group of banker" working as a monolith.

There is no chance of getting Crimea back.

The west needs to (if asked) provide a "trip wire" force of troops to help the Ukrainians defend the rest of that nation, followed by full membership in the EU and NATO.

That $15B loan and discounted NG was a real slap in the face wasn't it?
What progress did the $5B the US is said to have 'invested' and when they do it the debt can never be repaid.

Sure, if asked. So far they've reached out to the UN. I think there are other nations with more on the line here than the US. Germany for example.

Ukrainians aren't the only ones with a score to settle with the Bolsheviks.

Poland is officially willing to lay it all on the line. Czechs have a lot at stake too.
