Planes tend not to be very airworthy without engines. Even British ones.
Mmm, sometimes they aren't all that air worthy even with engines.
Rolls Royce had to replace the Trent 900 turbofans on the fleet of A380s (Qantas, Lufthansa, Singapore Airlines) using their engines due to faulty manufacturing processes that lead to uncontained engine failure. Air France and Emirates A380s were fine though, as they weren't powered by Rolls Royce engines. Qantas has said that the reduced thrust recommended by Rolls Royce following the investigation of Qantas Flight 32 have made some routes unprofitable due to the reduction in payload.
British women aren't going because there is no hand cream on Mars.
So one slight problem with just one of many different types of Rolls-Royce engines means Rolls-Royce engines are airworthy?
That's some logic you've got there.
if you could bake, you wouldn't be living alone ;-)I live alone and don't bake. Wrong again....
having engine(s) doesn't mean an aircraft is air worthy.
if you could bake, you wouldn't be living alone ;-)
Given the time it takes to get there and a big enough ship, they'd almost have enough for hydroponics. They'll need both on Mars....
Well, you don't seem to have any. That's some logic you've got there.
S'ok. Brit men are just dead weight anyway. Our women aren't going because, unlike Canadian men, our men are going instead.
...... and if your woman ever dies or goes away, you're fukked because you can't do di ck for yourself.I don't need to bake. Like any real man I get a woman to do it for me.
Yep. It's an exercise in leeching.Just sort of nodding back towards the topic. There was talk earlier about terraforming but that is not possible with our current technology. As near as I can see, without a billion trillion tons of water and air, the only colonizing of Mars will be with sealed structures containing breathable air to keep people alive. Some kind of greenhouses could provide oxygen and food but the first colonists will be living on frozen and canned food for a long time. Barsoom is a long way off.
ice hockey, baseball.
.
The British and Chinese are going to be in the forefront of colonising Mars.
It will be British rovers and other technology sent to Mars on Chinese spaceships.
America may have been prosperous in the 1950s and 1960s thanks to all that British money that it received for all those crappy old American weapons during the War but it wasn't the same for every nation, of course.
