People have to keep in mind when talking coal burning there are several different grades of coal some much better than others. Black anthracite is the best, lignite is poor.

Wrong topic I think.

AB is very well represented by Libs. Look into who is or has worked for Suncor/PetroCan and CENOVUS. You'll also notice a lot of Cons have worked for the PetroCan Suncor Liberal created darling of the AB economy.

You sports fan style political sicophants need to look out your schincters now again to see what goes on in the real world.

As always, JT and the Libs won't get more than 1/2 dozen seats in Western Canada.

I am so looking forward to the flood of attack ads the dippers will be releasing the second that the election is announced

I'd give them a dozen, B.C. will contribute 6 or 7.

please, some one, offer us an alternative!!!

Throw your hat in the ring. A lot of people from across the political spectrum complain about the options we have. Sitting around waiting for something better to come along clearly isnt working. Want a better option? Make it. Easier said than done I know, but just sitting there isnt going to do anything.

The Cons will have a pretty straight forward attack plan, pretty much using JT's own words against him.

Hopefully Trudeau will rise above all that childishness. Maybe he can organize a few more of those ragingly successful 'Justin Unplugged' evenings.

Cocktails, candid conversation and curiosity-inducing ideas.. What more could anyone ask for?

At least we know that baby-t admires the brutal Chinese communist regime.

Whereas Harper has opened us up more to the Chinese than his predecessors did. This after criticizing what his predecessors did and the Chinese quite a bit while in opposition. Shaking hands and making deals with a brutal regime doesnt really seem any better than saying something favourable about said regime.

Big difference between doing business with this group and 'admiring' how their basic (read: brutal) dictatorship is capable of turning the economy around by brute force.

He's a strange cat - even had this pseudo-sympathetic understanding for the Boston marathon bombers

Doing business with brutal murderers is no better than admiring them. Doing business with them benefits them. Saying you admire them does nothing to benefit them.

Yeah but ...abscam.

Name a party that has governed and not had a big scandal. John A. had one. A lot of people have. Having people who support or supported the Liberals and Conservatives pointing fingers over it is kind of funny as they both have done it. That applies with the NDP on the provincial level as well as other parties that have gotten there. One can argue about which scandals were worse but that comes down to semantics in a way. Fact is when given power they all eventually screw up one way or another.
