He only needed Mary to create Jesus only because Original Sin is inherited from the mother, not the father. God wanted Jesus to be 100% human as well as 100% God. By having Jesus born of a woman rather than creating Him as He created Adam, Jesus therefore inherited our sinful natures (which are passed down through the mother), thus he was also 100% man, with all of the temptations of the flesh that any other man has.
God works just fine without a female body to make another male body. Did you ever study Adam and Eve at school?
I must have said this a hundred times now - man, not woman, is the image of God. Woman cannot be the image of God because God speaks of Himself as a male. He created Adam in his likeness. What gender was Adam? When God appeared on Earth as a human, he appeared as a male - Jesus Christ. That's because God sees Himself as male. A woman is not in the image of God because she has femaleness - something which God has chosen not to have and which didn't exist originally.
.
God gave all humans life.
No He isn't. God speaks of Himself as being male. When He appeared to us He appeared to us as a male. He is not both male and female.
Woman was not a direct creation of God. Woman is an aside taken from Man - Adam's rib - and therefore is in the image of Man.
Woman is in the image of Man and Man is in the image of God.
I can think of around five million humans that women haven't birthed - Adam, Eve and those born by IVF, starting with Louise Brown, born at Oldham General Hospital near Manchester on 25th July (same date as me) 1978 (those clever Brits again).
You have forgotten that, in this day and age, a woman's womb is not necessarily needed to make a baby. There are a couple or so million males alive today who did NOT come out of a woman's womb.
All of the above absolutely unbelievably "ignorant" (in the sense of the word uneducated and indoctrinated) theories are an incredulous display of a mind fully indoctrinated with the "emperors new clothes syndrom".
We see someone naked in the street, but because they hold human authority, power and influence over our lives, we refuse to see common sense.
So, on that note, Sir, you have been terribly misled. Yes, many "christians" do believe the theory of adam and eve. But majority do not believe the interpretations you have provided out of which the scriptures do not say or conclude. No where in the bible does it say woman is not made in the image of God, and no where does it put all original sin soley on the woman. In fact, again, the Adam and eve myth is debunked neatly, by mere knowledge of where babies come from. Your other notions? well maybe I will attempt to address the absurdity of some. I will get back to you.
A damned good question. Thanks for the comment.

Eve would indeed be the glory of man in the sense that she was bright enough to recognize that ignorant bliss and complete stupidity was not how man should live and that the righty thing to do was eat of the tree of knowledge and ignore God's really stupid command.
Hail woman. Man's true teacher and not some woman hating God.

Yes, the poignant question to ask oneself, what agenda does "man posing as gods word) have to stop a woman from gaining knowledge, or to stop her when she has indeed gained knowledge. Quashing women was the goal of Genesis Chapter 2. Which was a story written down centuries after the first chapter. The fable was more likely created during the time of male warring tribes desiring to annihilate the baal and astarte worshiping tribes. Which were increasingly becoming female led agrarian societies and mostly peaceful ones at that.
And further, why is god - who is all powerful and omnipotent over all things, jealous? of any other "gods". If God is God, then no jealousy is necessary. The bible is a bronze age compilation (NT is axial age) of the journey of the ancient people in discovering the meaning of nature vs god. They pretty much are fable, folklore, ignorance and some fact and enlightenment stories. Almost like the first nations stories and myths, intertwined with stories of human endeavours.
Alas, then we have sufficient numbers of people who can't seem to get out of the dark age thought of the OT and they seem to not read the NT at all. In particular what the leader of Christianity has to say about anything and all.
Nice reprieve.
The literalist Christians praise God for the genocide of Noah's day and look forward to the next genocide of man by God.
That is sick.
Any intelligent man will condemn that God to hell.
Though shalt not kill applies to God towards man or his justice is corrupt.

Note: I use "god" in lower case when in doubt that it was really a loving god in certain passages. Yes, if one only reads the bible in full, and tries very hard to wade through the books of the Old Testament which is hard in itself with naming of tribes, who begats who, and lineage always mixed in with the fray.
The constant are wars, killing, massacring innocent lives.
So one sees clearly the dichotomy of a god one minute who is loving and merciful and the very next; angry, violent and vengeful.
Sounds a lot like ancient bronze age thought describing their own human journey of learning and has nothing to do with what "God" was designing". when good things happened they named it God saving them. It was real crazy making type of ideology, that no human can follow.
It is a "history" of those peoples, chronicled with ancient minds and implements and a bias that was much stronger than today due to no accountability or even the other "side" getting to tell their story, including the view of a woman caught in those times.
But their leader, Jesus came to show them the way, of peace, love and true mercy and many of them still did not get it. hmmm.
If it wasn't for self control women would kill all the babies you men help to create. If we let the babies live they would certainly be dead by the time they hit their teens.
They may have started Louise Brown in a petrie dish, but the fertilized egg still was placed in her mothers uterus, and her mother gave birth to her the same as any other baby. So far no baby has been incubated for 9 months outside of a woman's uterus.
Exactly!
One doesn't need to be religious to understand a woman's worth. The fact that all human beings came from a woman after nine months in her womb is something no man can do alone with his sperm and biceps. Just because a woman doesn't exactly think and look like a man does with all virility, doesn't mean she is anything less of a human being. She is neither inferior nor a disgrace. Man and woman are interdependent but with different functions to keep this world going.
Women commit mistakes just like men. Adam proved that he's not a perfect being when he failed to stand firm and act accordingly the moment he was convinced of taking a bite of the apple just as how Eve has been lured by the snake.
Very well said. And of course for most of us, it just makes sense and this is how we believe, but those out there who wish for subjugation of another group of humans, and in this discussion topic, that other "group" is half the worlds population, then there are problems with that thinking. Which in turn translates to a dominance that turns into unhealthy balances for women, but also for children and many men.

One note, is that I do not believe in the adam and eve myth.
Adam was only angry because Eve knew more than him. And how many men even to this day get all angry or frustrated when a woman or their "wives" will show they know more and not intentionally to undermine their spouse or another man.
Quashing the "knowledge" of women was the purpose of the adam and eve myth. Lets carry it a bit further, where Eve births Cain and Abel (we know "adam" is the father). Cain and Abel, then are only two males on earth apparently - but somewhere they find wives "elsewhere"? hmm. Who is the mother of Cain and Abels children otherwise? we can disect and deduce all we want the writings of ancient scriptures, but there are huge portions that just do not add up.
Anyway, Cain and Abel work and then bring their offerings before God. Now I have read that passage a lot, over and over. Why would God be mad at cains offering? it seemed very honourable, yet favour Abel? god punishes cain? sounds like a lot of male jealousy going on, and has nothing to do with Cain having ever done anything wrong.
And so that fable goes to describe the early peoples "mentality" of the middle eastern tribes for the most part.
I agree but hardly see it as a fixed law. More of a suggestion. There is no evil in the sex you and I may have so why would you apply polarity to it?
When God or his Sons of God bring us the miracle of life, they also bring the genocide of mankind if we want to follow your dualistic thinking.
And Christians applaud that genocide which all with intelligence here will agree is rather sick.

Please note: not all Christians applaud the violence of the OT>

All I can try to respond to this post - full of indoctrinal errors and suppositions - Dear Sir. There is no such thing as original sin - it is a bronze age concept to try to explain human existence and foibles.
Second, the woman was created by God(s) at the same time as man. In addition, more than likely woman formed first, and then birthed a man. Although that is only a theory. But makes more sense because the female child bearing was given to a woman. So it become logic. Does not make women superior, it makes it all logical natural ways women are created, and men are created in a different form, but similar in human nature. Blaming women for all mans woes?
Show us the places in the biblical scriptures where women rose up to massacre innocent children or decided to tell other men to kidnap virgins etc. Who has the power in these stories and who tells the story is very "telling" of the bias and desire for control! I will take the time to respond to your other comments later.
