They are looking for reasonable cause, but they can NOT force you to take a test or hold you without reasonable cause, which is kind of the point.

Funny, they always look at my windshield for the inspection, and my license plate for the registration sticker, and usually ask for my license....

Yea but you look like a criminal.LOL

Nope, just you Cannuck. You're the same one trick pony you've always been, but feel free to try and garner some support. :)

While I'm somewhat freaked out with your infatuation with me, I'm still somewhat interested in why you feel a statement I made (that others agree with) is bulls hit. I know, i know, you have to try and bring up your version of the past if you can't answer the question. I guess you are doing what Das refers to as the Cannuck dance. Carry on

You should read your own post about spelling.
You mean one dropped letter, compared to the atrocious spelling and grammar issues you have when you get angry?

Your dishonesty knows no bounds.

You must really be getting angry?
Nope, you make me laugh. It's not surprising that you would think I'm angry though, you always project when you get bent out of shape.

Why does it bother you so much when I prove what a hypocrite RCS is?
All I see are members treating you like you've treated them.

It doesn't surprise me that it upsets you so much. You hypocrites are easily angered.

I stated my case quite clearly. Your actions on this board speak to what I have addressed. And btw, I was ready to move on from this a few posts back, but you keep bringing it up. So, I will say it one more time.

I believe that you are full of sh!t, you are an a-hole who lies about crap then denies it in cycles. I'm not the only one to call you out on your BS, I'm just the one who called you out this time. I heard this line of crap from you before. If you can't understand that or if it makes you angry or you feel slighted you can:

  • Report my post
  • Give me a thumbs down
  • Take it up with the human rights commission; or
  • Continue on as you have.

How would you feel if they skimmed your email for key words that might lead to cause for a warrant. The issue really isn't about looking for drunks, it's about trampling the rights to catch the drunks. Give up a right and you don't get it back. MADD is now pushing its agenda beyond its original mandate and politicians along with police are more than willing to help them for different reasons. The cops always want more power and less restriction, it makes their job easier, while the politicians simply want votes.

Reading emails is a completely different issue. This is just a different way to conduct something that they already do, which is Ride checks.

You see, where you draw a line in the sand may not be where someone else does. I don't like drinking and driving, I drive a fuel truck and some putz whose had a few too many poses a real hazard to me and you. We already have the Provincial Governments making rules that take away an individuals right to due process while damaging their ability to work or be employed. MADD's .05 to .08 adopted by the Provincial governments in BC and Ontario do just that.

If they want to make the law zero tolerance then they should change the law. The police have plenty of tools at their disposal now to carry out their job. We do not need to conduct blanket sweeps and trample the rights of all citizens so that a few can be caught in the net. It isn't necessary.

I have never had that happen to me. They just lean into my car, have a quit chat and see if they smell booze.

If they just made you quickly blow into a device, I don't feel like that is all that much more of an intrusion.

This is sounding more and more like the discussion that was had concerning DNA from those that had been arrested but not found guilty.

I would suggest that they blow me.

I don't drink, and I would not be a happy camper if some power hungry cop wanted me to blow into anything just so the pervert could see me wrap my lips around something.

Slippery slope arguments are bull ****. There is no link between this proposed laws and allowing them to monitor our emails.

So many of the people upset about this are not actually focusing on the specific issue at hand. They are going on about government infringement in general, not the merits of this particular issue.

Don't like this idea and it definitely conflicts with their agenda to move to the centre.

Can't believe I'm saying this but I might be going for the shiny pony next election.

First of all, slippery slope arguments are far from BS, as gradualism is the preferred method of progressives to turn us all into slaves of the state.

Secondly, this is NOT a slippery slope, it is a high diving board straight into the pond of totaltarianism. :)

Thirdly, there ARE no "merits" to the proposal.

How are you really made better off by having a cop chat with you and sniff you to see if you are drunk instead of just blowing into a device? How does that really change the impact of that interaction on your life?

You are trying to act like this is a step toward something worse, but really, is this even worse than the current situation?
