Wow, not even a nights sleep helped you gather yourself together.

Oh well, now back on topic...

You, like Ford Hate homosexuals, can you tell us why you hate homosexuals so we can get a little insight into why Ford thinks the way he does, much like yourself?

Oh oh...

Is it that you're still mad at me, or the fact that you think I'm gay and well, we all know how much you hate homosexuals, that's causing you to stalk me around the board?

What makes you think Ford hates homosexuals?

Northern Ontario,
Now, now, don't you go discouraging all the Ford haters, their obsession might lead them to self destruct....

Have any of you guys seen any polls done by anyone other than Forum Research? With the national polls, you can see some pretty dramatic variations in results just from the different methodology that each firm uses, so it would be interesting to see how different firms stack up.

If 33% is the accurate portion of people who would vote for him, it still leaves him with a decent amount of ground to make up. They are saying that he would need 43% support, and that extra 10% could be a real challenge for him. Unlike other candidates, it isn't like the people who don't support him simply prefer someone else. 60% of voters apparently want him to resign, so I think that would be a very tough sell. That leaves him a very narrow slice of voters that he can draw those extra votes from.

If you have watched him recently, his main tactic now seem to be to challenge everyone under the sun to run against him to hopefully split the vote enough to allow him to win without gaining any more support. I think that if another credible fiscal conservative enters the race though, he is toast.

I LOVE droll humour!

Conrad Black on Rob Ford....Just beautiful!

"What the more learned political commentators note, (such as Senator Mike Duffy in his blog), is that the entire political community is wary of Ford Nation, that the Greater Toronto Area is picking up a number of federal constituencies upon the next expansion of the House of Commons to 338 legislators, and that Toronto’s contiguous built-up area, almost from Niagara Falls to Oshawa, will have nearly 70 of them. About half of those are largely inhabited by people who are not scandalized by obesity, occasional cocaine use, occasional drunkenness, or the odd whirl at the wheel of a car when a breathalyzer, if applied, could be problematical. They are, however, scandalized by rank hypocrisy from mouthy journalists and gimcrack municipal politicians, and by the confected and inflated sanctimony of prigs and twits."

You honestly think that all misappropriation of funds is caught and leads to charges? I would say that only happens in a small percentage of cases.

Ford got around it by assigning token duties to the staffers and paying back some of the money.
Nice deflection.

You fail again.

What makes you think Ford hates homosexuals?
Like you, he said so.

So anyways, back to the topic...

I was really hoping that you could shed some light on why people like you and Ford hate homosexuals.

You sound worried.

That particular number isn't all that surprising. In their most recent polls, 33% of people said they would vote for Ford again, and 34% said that they think he is the best to handle the budget. Given the margin of error, there is no statistical difference between those two results.

It makes sense that the same people who said they would vote for Ford again would also say that they thought he was the best to handle the budget. Ford has little else to his brand at this point.

So basically, he's down to Ford Nation at this point.

Normally I would say "No", but from a commentary I heard on C.B.C. radio last night, Ford is "done", "hors d' combat", "persona non grata", "kaput". I suppose he may as well stretch out his salary as long as he can plus the multitude of perks, but I would say his "fifteen minutes in the sun" are over. Mind you commentators have been wrong before.

Well, the fact that we are almost certainly going to have a higher tax increase than Ford promised is definitely going to play right into his hand.

It doesn't matter that it is almost certain that Ford could not have pulled it off either way(the subway, the cut in the LTT, and keeping the increase at 1.75%). Now Ford gets to sit back and say "I was going to keep your taxes lower but they wouldn't let me!".

Funny thing about his supporters is that even if Ford was still running the ship and he went over the 1.75% tax increase they wouldn't even bat and eye.

You know, Ford can always tell council where the gravy is if he really wants to help Toronto.

It would be the mayoral thing to do.

Yes he does...

Let the spending begin!!!

I bet council runs Fords re-election campaign, lol.

True if he went over the 1.75 - and why would they be OK with that. Very important question that goes to how the Voter looks at council.

You know, Ford can always tell council where the gravy is if he really wants to help Toronto.

All Public employees Pensions- Police- Firefighters salaries and their benefits to start.
Contracting out - union get to bid on the contract with a 5-10 % edge built in.
