He should sent for mental health diagnosis immediately. This is not the manifestation of normal teen anger. I'd have very serious concerns about what harm he may do in future.

Sorry, it was SLM....

Nope actually, different story. The one I posted was about a dog fighting ring that was broken up in the U.S. (Unless I've been posting in my sleep or I'm finally succumbing to early onset alzheimers, lol.)

Still a recurring theme on the sickness factor though.

He didn't make himself loopy. The courts could have sent him to a forensics unit but chose not to for some stupid reason.

The poor guy needs help, as in being shot in the face.8O
No, not "the poor guy" but poor 'rest of society' should this guy not be clinically diagnosed before he does something even worse. Which, if they just let him out after 16 months, I'd be willing to bet real money that something worse is going to happen.

Because that would be forward thinking and the courts aren't set up to be preventative.

Indeed. They better do something. If not it will likely be a person next time.

If the shrink he saw said he was damnngerous, the Courts have f*cked up. Courts have another problem though. Open space in the hoosegow and loonie bin. If there isn't any, what do you do?

He was already diagnosed, he's bat sh*t crazy as noted by the judge.

Yes, that is a problem. And there are no easy answers. Maybe this is a good reason to stop locking up the pot smokers?

Is that from the DSM? Lol.

His mother locked herself in a room and called the cops herself. It would appear that even she sees him as dangerous and a threat.

As for those institutions - build more. Change the drug laws to release the non violent offenders. Take that money and use it to fund these sorts of places for people who are much bigger threats. In Ontario the provincial prisons are more or less mental institutions given how many mentally ill people are in that system rather than where they are supposed to be.

He is destined to become a serial killer, they all start with animals and his start was really horrendous!

Lock him up with Pickton!

He will have to kill someone first. There is no way they would put him in a federal prison with a serial killer over this. Im actually surprised he is going away at all - probably more for the vandalism than the dog though. The law tends to value that more. Most people who abuse animals or kill them for nothing get fines or a very light prison term.

That was a little "tongue in cheek".

This wasnt the start according to the article. He said he has done similar things to a cat and squirrel before this happened. Also admitted that he thought about doing it to people.

That was a little "tongue in cheek".

A realistic possibility though in the long term.
