Agreed. Given he was killed by a member of another racial minority I was surprised race became such a big issue on that case.
No, he wasn't. Being armed isn't the standard for deadly force in self-defence. The standard is that the person using the deadly force must be in reasonable fear of imminent death or serious bodily harm.
I'm not going to assist you in launching another round of Martin/Zimmerman. Here's what happened.
1. Zimmerman was a complete asswit, which is not illegal.
2. Martin assaulted Zimmerman, which is illegal.
3. Zimmerman shot Martin.
4. A jury found that Zimmerman's shooting was legitimate self defence.
Well the name sounded white so the racists rushed to Florida. When they found out he was actually Hispanic they just called him white because they were already in deep.

That whole story was a convincing argument for gun control. Having someone like Zimmerman walking around with a loaded gun was obviously not a good idea. I'll get out of this topic before Colpy arrives with a shotgun...:lol:

I'm not defending Zimmerman. Calling him an "asswit" is not exactly likely to get me nominated for President of the George Zimmerman Fan Club. I'm reciting the facts of the case as best they are known and applying the law.
