I was very disappointed when, with boston's goalie pulled, they went into a shell, they could have fought
much harder for the puck, iced it, or get lucky and score, only a bit over a minute left, and they
shrivelled up and just waited to get scored on.

Bummer. I thought they had it in the bag. But Boston had other ideas.

Yet the Leafs made a series out of it after being down 3 games to 1.

Maybe next year they'll not only be in the playoffs but get further. They gave us some enjoyable hockey.

Heck of a series, Jonny........some of the best hockey in the play-offs.

This is not Vancouver.

i'm sure toronto, ottawa, calgary, edmonton, montreal or winnipeg have also learned from what happened in

vancouver, and if it had of been toronto rioting first, vancouver would have

remembered and learned from them as well.

no one wants to repeat that misery.

That Vancouver riot was Canada's first hockey riot?

of that kind, as I remember, not sure I wasn't born in l867.

in recent times, concerning sports, if you know of another one
feel free.

I remember the montreal riot concerning 'maurice richard', because
he was suspended, that must have been around l950's sometime.

rioters now days, weren't even born then, they don't remember or
think about that, vancouver's riot, is still fresh in the memories.

Here's a list of significant hockey riots in Canada - The Hockey News

But do not be ashamed Tall... I was at a conference last summer and a woman from Vancouver said all of the rioters in the Vancouver 2011 riot were Americans from Washington.

"All of them?"... I asked.

"Yes" she answered "all of them"

yes, after reading that list, I do remember some of those, had forgotton all but the richard one.

that woman was in her own little world, i'm thinkin. lol

You know what though Talloola... we have sports riots all over and for many sports down here. Including College Sports. When it comes to sports riots... well the list would read like an EAO or Blackleaf thread.

Right here in Boston our Red Sox riots were not anything to be proud of. And UMASS Amherst (out west) has been known to go ballistic during major sporting events.

I don't recall anything happening at the Bruins-Vancouver finale here though. I think we were all glued to the TVs watching Vancouver go crazy and we lost track of time. ;)
