Nope Mowie, I'm not a fan of the Riders.;) I rooted for 'em that one year to try and help you out, but my good vibes did nothing! LOL!

How about that Boston "fan" that sucker-punched the Leaf fan and caused him to have a concussion and require three staples to seal the wound? While the aforementioned sign could be considered poor taste, that is far less worrisome than a person that feels that sucker-punching someone because your team lost is a good thing to do! And according to the Bostonians in the crowd (this occurred in Boston) the group of Leaf fans did NOTHING to warrant this happening! I really hope they find out who this coward is and throw him in jail for assault.

Mowie, it does not look good for Pittsburgh. Their goaltending (Fleury) is looking suspect once again. Also, I think the Habs are toast (they lost 3-2 tonight and are now down 3 games to 1), and they lost Price to injury at the end of the third period!

Forgot about the sucker-punch. You are right, Tom! That was terrible, too! God, some of this stuff makes me think of the crap that I have read/seen in Junior A box lacrosse in the playoffs. 0.0

Yeah, I'd say that Montreal is done against Ottawa. I'm not too sure with the Pens, though. I would love it if they were knocked out!

One of the commentors at the bottom of the online article (I believe it was in the Toronto Sun) said that the guy who did the punch should only receive a fine. Needless to say he was called an idiot numerous times. I don't think anyone agreed with him. I certainly don't. Jail time for this assault is required. And I would say the exact same thing if it had been a Leaf fan that sucker-punched a Bruins fan. No place for that at all.

I got home from work in time to see the 2nd and 3rd periods..............though why I bothered........hmmn. Not a good game by my guys. But I give full creds to the Isles and that darling John Tavares. Rock on John. Credit where it is due and Johnnie's done much for the team. I just hope that Fleury either gets his game legs back or the Pens start playing smarter hockey. Give aways, bad puck management - stoopid penalties............Sheesh..........come on guys.

Yep, I like to see the Islanders win. No disrepect but I think Sid gets his share of hockey news.

Even if they don't win this series, they are gaining so much respect, and showing everyone that they
have 'arrived'. With tavares at the helm, and all of those great young players, the islanders will
be back to play good hockey again, like they did years ago.

I love it. Pittsburgh doesn't have a great defensive core, and they don't have the speed of the islanders,
but they are still the ones with all the experience and super stars, and are expected to win, we'll see.

The world's craziest sports fans are New Westminster Salmonbellies lacrosse fans. A few riots have broken out at their games.

Helluva hockey game tonight, Jonny. I am sorry the Leafs lost in OT - they deserved the win. Goes to show how well the game was being played when all it took was one small mistake and the game was over. Reimer had some outstanding saves. At times the Leafs played some of the best hockey in this series. They never gave up and Joffrey Lupil deserves all the creds coming his way.........but the entire team rocked tonight especially in the 3rd period. The CBC hosts were saying that the Leafs had to come out aggressively as that is exactly what the Bruins were going to do - and your team didn't disappoint. Great game - bad result. :-(

Oh, New West! They are pretty crazy! I remember being told of a line brawl or so back when Orangeville hosted the Minto Cup with them in 1995. It was quite the series!

Still say that certain spots in Ontario could give them a run like Orangeville, Elora, Six Nations and Peterborough to name a few!

Grew up in New West. The old days were a gong show. Especially on the playing surface.

Things were pretty crazy from the late 80's to mid 90's.

I guarantee they have more assault charges than any other league team in any sport.

I agree, Mowich, the Leafs played like it was all on the line, which it was. They're in too deep a hole to climb out now, but I hope we see some more hockey from them that was as good as it was last night. They're no cakewalk, and they showed they deserve to be in the playoffs.

Tough loss. I'd still like to see them prevail but I'm trying to be realistic.

The early 70's were crazy too. I think defenseman Al Lewthwaite was the toughest player of any sport in any era. And he was a helluva player. Other WLA teams had to contend with NW's power, and did so by bringing out the toughest goons they could find. Every game was assured to be bloodbath.

And that is why I like the Salmonbellies.

Toronto made a game of it... but Boston is simply a superior team, especially their play around the net.. which is tying the Leafs Defence in knots. I expect they'll wind things up in Game 5.. and frankly look like a strong contender for the Cup.

Awesome. Toronto wins Game 5 with some damn hard work. There were times when Toronto was flying, some times when "Boaston" had them back on their heels, but a hell of a game.

This one could go to seven games, folks!
