It means they believed it was there and it allows them to be smug because they overcame it while others couldn't.
Perhaps that is what it means to you, but as I mentioned already, you seem to have your very own dictionary and definitions that don't match normal ones.
I get where you are coming from.
Doesn't look like it.

They are merely perceptions. Try and keep up.
Lemme see if I can explain the concept of perception another way. I perceive my wife building something for dinner. That means I can sense her doing that. I perceive with my ears that she's building dinner. You seem to be using "perception" for what rational people would use the word "imagination".

Either way, you have nothing except simple-minded disagreement to add to the discussion, which means you do not discuss; you just disagree. And nothing to support your disagreeing opinion with, so babble on. You're not worth posting replies to.

Can only give you 1 green on that- I do hope others join in.
Cannuck has many heads- he gets his head handed to him on a platter as you have done - comes back with another- the intellect never changes though.

Do you have anything to add to this discussion? Maybe you can tell us about all the obstacles your kind had to endure.

Is this such a scary question.

So how do you define perceptions.

Your Kind- Oh what do you mean

However you wish to define yourself.

Not me that mentioned it- clearly you have different kinds of people in different groups- I see that First Nations are one of them. Ya know- Not your kind of people.
Of course you can Red this - but can you rebut?

Don't worry, if the Canadians ever find themselves confronted by a group of primitive dark people armed with spears and sharp pieces of dried fruit all they have to do is ask the British for advice. The British used to have lots of experience of things like that.

Kipling expressed your sentiments well in a few of his poems:

The White Man's Burden (Rudyard Kipling)

Take up the White Man’s burden—

Send forth the best ye breed—
Go send your sons to exile
To serve your captives' need
To wait in heavy harness
On fluttered folk and wild—
Your new-caught, sullen peoples,
Half devil and half child
Take up the White Man’s burden
In patience to abide
To veil the threat of terror
And check the show of pride;
By open speech and simple
An hundred times made plain
To seek another’s profit
And work another’s gain
Take up the White Man’s burden—
And reap his old reward:
The blame of those ye better
The hate of those ye guard—
The cry of hosts ye humour
(Ah slowly) to the light:
"Why brought ye us from bondage,
“Our loved Egyptian night?”
Take up the White Man’s burden-
Have done with childish days-
The lightly proffered laurel,
The easy, ungrudged praise.
Comes now, to search your manhood
Through all the thankless years,
Cold-edged with dear-bought wisdom, The judgment of your peers!

Recessional (by rudyard Kipling)

God of our fathers, known of old,
Lord of our far-flung battle-line,
Beneath whose awful Hand we hold
Dominion over palm and pine—
Lord God of Hosts, be with us yet,
Lest we forget—lest we forget!

The tumult and the shouting dies;
The Captains and the Kings depart:
Still stands Thine ancient sacrifice,
An humble and a contrite heart.
Lord God of Hosts, be with us yet,
Lest we forget—lest we forget!

Far-called, our navies melt away;
On dune and headland sinks the fire:
Lo, all our pomp of yesterday
Is one with Nineveh and Tyre!
Judge of the Nations, spare us yet,
Lest we forget—lest we forget!

If, drunk with sight of power, we loose
Wild tongues that have not Thee in awe,
Such boastings as the Gentiles use,
Or lesser breeds without the Law—
Lord God of Hosts, be with us yet,
Lest we forget—lest we forget!

For heathen heart that puts her trust
In reeking tube and iron shard,
All valiant dust that builds on dust,
And guarding, calls not Thee to guard,
For frantic boast and foolish word—
Thy mercy on Thy People, Lord!

Cannot explain or justify that remark "your kind".
Having difficulty again with that huge foot that fits, with rooom for another, in your mouth?

Nope, I'm not one that divides people on silly things like skin colour, language or other such nonsense. You have no problem with it so I'm just wondering how you define yourself.

The James Bay Cree didn't take to the streets during the hydro dam debacle.

They just got good lawyers and sued...................and won.

Good for them.

Others should follow suit

See how El Primo likes his Pandas then, the ****er.

Slip sliding away. A number of things do that. Is that how you acquired the habit?

They say Harper throttles his MPs for speaking their idealistic agendas. Harper came out swinging against China and Human Rights.

Who throttled him back?

The party?

It just shows that the PM isn't the all powerful god high on Olympus that many think he is.
