I am not flipping anything off. It is merely a starting point to understanding and thus accepting that the way we grew up is long gone. Different ways for a different world. I see you flipping it off. Your way or no way because every other way is chicken sh*t.Flipping it off as "that's the way it is" is chicken sh*t way out.

I find no value in that approach. To me it is like throwing one's hands up and saying "hopeless".
I never view a situation as hopeless, only people's approach or attitude can make things "hopeless".
That's what running and hiding is.To me it is like throwing one's hands up and saying "hopeless".
I see locking the schools as common sense, and not anything to do with fear, but a 'direct'step to keep
out the people who would pick on the innocence of children and unarmed teachers.
It is an intelligent security move. Now the gun toters who are mentally incompetent, or just plain mean
can go something else to wield their insanity and violence.
All this stuff about defending yourself and learning how to punch back has nothing to do with lock downs,
but everythig to do with continueing violence. And that is all about boys anyway, what about the girls,
would you tell them the same thing.

The overreacting about locking the schools is fear. Just lock the damn doors, get to work, organize
how parents can come and go, that is done, the idea that one can't get into the school to see their
own child is ludicrous, they can.
And also, sit in a roomwith the parents of the dead children, and have a conversation with them, ad
the love ones of the dead teachers.
There is nothing wrong with safey measures to save lives, our schools should not be open targets.
Why don't those gun wielding violent sickheads target police stations, banks, and other organizations
who have security.
Imagine just 'one' of your children or grandchildren lying dead from that type of violence, the imagine
what your reaction would be.

The kids don't even notice it and like I have said repeatedly, locked doors bar PARENTS with no right to their kids from just walking through the door. They just buzz like they would in a home. We lock our homes for a reason. The same can be done in schools, little to no difference except that they are way more valuable than our possessions.
The true lunatic would get him or herself LOCKED IN WITH THE KIDS and then open fire.
locking down a school 24/7 is throwing up your hands and saying hopeless. Paranoia at it's highest. What a thing to be teaching our kids. As a society we learn nothing, we don't grow at all. through the 60's and 70's it was fear of nuclear holocaust. Now it's terrorists and murder/abduction.

that about sums it up
Even nutcases in UPS or Cop uniforms?oh no no no...... those locked doors will prevent any nut case from getting into that school.
