$500 is about how much snow tires cost.

Oh... about that ban. It was just too good to just let go. The Nanny State has informed us all this morning that the ban will be in effect until further notice.

Not a flake in the sky. The sun is trying to peek through. However if you are caught on the roads... $500.00 fine and possibly a year in jail.

A year in jail doing comunity work, like shovelling snow?

Want to borrow my snowmobile? It has plates and insurance. That would **** up the nannies and the ninnies. They pass out from dizziness and confusion.

A snow mobile equals fun. A snow mobile is a direct assault on the ban I am sure. One in a snow mobile is definitley trying to get around the ban and would be stopped.

First they have to pull you over. That ain't gonna happen. Sleds can hit 100mph in a heartbeat.

Net snow clouds with aircraft and tow them to places that like or can handle snow.

Awesome idea - catch the snow on the way down in huge nets.

Then take it to the deserts. I've thought of something similar before. Ship snow from Canada to Arizona by rail.
LOL, in large refridgerated freight cars. The economy will explode with growth - the rail industry will be on fire (in a cold way).

Wouldn't have to be refrigerated. Just a mylar tarp. Ever heard of the Salad Bowl Express? Veggies are given right of way from California to New York. Something like three days from field to supermarket.

Whall ... they DO have ducks ... er ... Marines.

Well if they called in the Marine Reserve the National Guard would get all offended.

I don't think they called in the National Guard yet. That cuts into State Worker and State Police overtime.

Oh and Minni Me was so excited and grinning when the press asked him about the driving ban.

And can go anywhere, the only thing that can go where snowmobiles can't go, is a rental car .

I don't know how the rest of the maritimes have made out, but today was a crappy day, for me anyway. We didn't get the fire and brimstone blizzard, but it sure was bowin' a gale dere b'y in da early marnin'. We only got about a foot, some drifts were maybe two feet. But first, the belt blew on the pto to my blower, no biggie I thought. Drove it up to the garage, shut it off, and when I couldn't find the spare I figured I'd just make a run to Cdn Tire. Well then my tractor, which was now parked in front of my truck wouldn't start. We had to push it out of the way, no easy task. Then my urban assault vehicle wouldn't start, WTF?, I had it out yesterday, (It had issues in the past with starting, I put a new battery in it las summer. I think there is a drain on the battery somewhere, but I hadn't run it since mid December and it started right up two days ago, yesterday it started giving problems, I dunno).

Anyway, daughter's boyfriend took her car, which has winter tires on it, and is now clearing sidewalks with a Bobcat in Lwr Sackville somewhere, and cussing at folks who keep pestering him to do their driveways. Found the spare blower belt, and got the assault vehicle going. And Bonus, my workday was cancelled, whew, I was fighting all forces this morning, and losing.

Oh guns in Massachusetts have been out of play for a long time. We have some of the strictest gun laws in the country, just like Connecticut <cough>.

So "Live Free or Die" means nothing to them, (or do I have the wrong state?).

Priceless!!!

Oh, and I have pictures. The missus got stuck once, and so did the SaskPower truck trying to get in to pull her out. We have named these oddessies after her late brother, who always managed to push the limits of man and machine, where she was often an unwilling participant.

If this were to become a trend it will promote further out migration from New Scotland but it would improve the snowmobile sales and slush service industry. Maybe our province will benefit from global warming. Global warming may spin off much improved employment numbers in the maritime provinces especially in the snow removal sector and the snow removal equipment manufacturing industries in China. A great opportunity for increased trade in snow boots long underwear and plastic shovels and scoops. Maybe they can open a factory in our province and teach young blue nosers how to build shovels. CO2 is not all bad.
