don't they mean a fight over dirty oil?
and why can't they just work this out in the mud?
I'd watch that:blob3:

I think Christy is just trying to save her job.
Christy is definitely right in one regard (albeit maybe tied in with ulterior motives). Looks to me like B.C. is vulnerable to more risks than any other jurisdiction in Canada. If Harper is so gung ho behind the venture, it's for obvious reasons that include financial gain. He can fork over a few bucks or ship it out through Churchill.
Why not go after the Federal Gov't or Enbridge (or both?) also, or
instead of, Alberta specificly?
I hear you, but Christy isn't try'n to squeeze Harper or the Federal Gov't or
even Enbridge (at this point). She's going after the tax's & royalties on one
of Alberta's natural resources from Alberta's pockets....period. Why would
that be? Why not go after the Federal Gov't or Enbridge (or both?) also, or
instead of, Alberta specificly?

I think JLM is probably right. This way Clarke gets to look like she is being some kinda negotiator, hard nosed and all that. She can go on requesting an ungivable renegotiation without angering the tarsands goose. No doubt she can make that last until after the election at which point we will with great pride in our government accept some guarantees of financial assistance in case of a leak.
None of which addresses the problem of having a spill in the first place.
Well, she is smart in one regard, she has Dixie Cup's mouth absolutely "handcuffed".
I think it is no more an indication of her absolute intelligence than it is of his.![]()
How much should AB and SK ding BC for nat gas lines through our provinces?
What's in it for BC? Who's paying for a major coastal spill and a couple decades of disaster if something goes wrong?

What spill? Was there a spill? Would you prefer a BC born and raised LNG leak? You can walk up to an oil spill and dip your big toe in and live a long and happy life but you aren't getting within 1km of a LNG leak without dropping dead. What's in it for BC?
