Voting for someone just to piss someone else off might be the problem we have in Canada. There are some good Conservative MPs just as tehre are some good Liberal ones and some good NDP ones. Judge each on his merits.

Margaret was recented interviewed on C.B.C. and she pretty made a full disclosure about a mental condition that plagued her for much of her past. Happily she seems to have largely overcome the challenges she had. I don't think a person who is mentally ill should EVER be condemned, but by the same token I would suggest that the situation certainly did have repercussions of some sort on her family, but attaching blame is futile!

Generally that would refer to someone that would at least stop the hemorrhaging if not cure the disease brought on by the last several leaders. That would not be anyone with close connections to the old guard.

And as a response to the thread title, no one person can save a party. If the party has a brillian party leader, but all the rest of the candidates are idiots, it might win the leader a seat in the House, but many of the other party members might still lose their seats. Or at least we'd hope it's like that.

And even if the leader is an ideiot but some of the other party members are brilliant, we'd hope the opposite.
