As there's a moderator here now criticising my behaviour I now intend to go through all the abusive nonsense posted by you and other trolls on this topic and complain.
Your time would be better spent trying to grow up.

Perhaps you don't realize you can't access the rep feature when the poster is ON IGNORE as you brag.
Busted....
Your time would be better spent trying to grow up.
And also...the seriously damaging political and economic effects of putting almost all our eggs in one basket when doing so is almost gauranteed to create long term negative effects both at home and with our international standing.
Your time would be better spent trying to grow up.
What is the 'one basket' that we are putting 'almost all of our eggs' in?
So? I'm here to discuss reality, you're here to try and shut me down, the ignore button is a really good idea when it comes to dealing with abusive little trolls like you.
Counter the FACTS I'm presenting or butt out.
For instance counter the fact that introducing gigatonnes of CO2 over the coming decades into the Earth's atmosphere while almost all climatologists are telling us the concentration now is already reaching critical levels and therefore tar sands and other carbon intensive fossil fuel source need to be phased out...beginning immediately.
Or...tar sands synthetic crude production produces huge amounts of toxic waste causing long term health and ecological risks that aren't even being closely examined let alone effectly dealt with.
And also...the seriously damaging political and economic effects of putting almost all our eggs in one basket when doing so is almost gauranteed to create long term negative effects both at home and with our international standing.
Whether you're ego tripping or just one more jerk Conservative who doesn't give a crap about anyone else doesn't matter to me, discussing the reality of Canada's energy and economic policies under the Conservative government does.
No my and all Canadians time would be better spent dealing with reality instead of this bizarre facsimile we're forced to accept under the current government and it's supporters.
You can't even have an adult discussion about one of the most important topic facing us both on forums like this or more official ones. This is ridiculous when you consider the stakes involved.
My apologies for having missed this! I didn't realize it would so upset you that I didn't read the thread, that 14 hours after replying, you'd have to go back and neg rep my post to you.
Curious that you'd bring up moderating to me, as I'm not a moderator.... hmmm.... I wonder which past-life member you are.
No matter what you say, it's childish. And feel free to neg rep this one too, and perhaps find and ACTUAL moderator to take your complaints to. I'll be sure to point out this little exchange to them.
Sorry karrie is a moderator/admin and you are not allowed to ignore him or her.
What percentage has been developed?Industry estimates for recoverable oil reserves are closer to 300 billion barrels and overall there is probably over 1.5 TRILLION barrels of oil equavalent in the tar sands. Development isn't being restricted, it's being pushed as fast as possible....
The thumbs up was a slip of the mouse... should have been a thumbs down.
The one we're debating here.
Who cares, do any of you have anything relevant to post here, or is it all a not very subtle variation on, "shut up, we don't want to deal with reality on this issue."
lol, must be a glitch holdover. Wow, ONE post that I tell you you're acting childish, as opposed to the post your ignored ABOUT the subject at the start of the thread, and you're popping me on ignore. You're a unique one. Want to talk, and be heard, but not argued with hey? Might want to reconsider being on a discussion forum my friend.
I just want to talk about this issue here, not endlessly deal with posters who couldn't care less trying to constantly divert or preferably end it...you're just part of phase six or seven(I've lost count) of that.
Do you care, if so post why, this really is an important issue despite the constant effort by some to trivialize it.
You'd get further ahead if you'd be more clear.
Are you claiming that the tar sands is where we're putting all of our eggs?
Or the oil industry in general?
Or a resource based economy in general?
What is the one basket to which you refer. You shouldn't need more than a sentence to answer the question. Please stick to the facts.
I weighed in at the very outset of the thread and gave my view on the fear tactics with which you framed the issue. You chose to ignore it. Why would I continue trying to give you my view?
Yes, tar/oil sands is going to be the main economic driver of Canada as other sectors decline or are intentionally marginalized.
Who cares, do any of you have anything relevant to post here, or is it all a not very subtle variation on, "shut up, we don't want to deal with reality on this issue."
Can you stick to the facts?
