If it were up to me, I'd make resources a Federal rather than Provincial mandate. But since it's provincial and not likely to change soon, and oil exports are to Alberta's advantage, it's a waste of time to try to change its mind unless we're prepared to open up the Constitution on the issue.

You'll see very little of that coming from this government as they continue to download costs to the provinces and remove as much responsibility from themselves as they can.

Also, as long as we continue with a strong petrodollar, eliminating the minimum wage may be a requirement for Ontario, as un-PC as it may be.

Maybe Ontario could compensate somewhat with co-determination legislation, but in the end, Ontario will have to accept that wages may have to drop at least in the short term to be efficient.

Too expensive to implement across the country... It's one thing to have it federally controlled, but who will be in charge of the voucher system?

????

BTW - There is a penalty if you drive with a passenger - you have to buy a round at the meeting if you're caught.

Consider yourself lucky. Here, you get your gun rack confiscated for a month. It makes driving tough when you have to keep reaching under the seat for you gun.

Man, that is one tough lodge that you belong to.

I don't know what I'd do without my gun rack even for a day. I suppose that I could just lay my 30-30 across my lap along with the fishing rods.. It would be a helluva lot more convenient for targeting magpies whilst driving the back roads.

Thanks.

Sometimes I forget which vehicle that I used last.. You wouldn't be able to count the times that I've left my iPhone in one car and my blackberry on the dresser.. Key chains all over the place and I can never figure out which car that I gassed-up last.

It's a real pain in the ass I tell ya

I solved the key problem. Replaced those complicated ignition gizmos with a toggle switch and a push button. Car jackers are baffled by this system much like governments are struck dumb by common sense.

Magpies????

You're not originally from the west are you? Why would you waste a shell on a magpie when there are so many immigrants around (some even have dark skin and wear towels on their heads).

As they should. The feds have way too much power now.

I belong to a special demographic that isn't really yuppie, but does like the little creature comforts that does come with that life style... That said, it is imperative that I have at least one 1/2 ton as long as it's a V-8 or better and I have to take that vehicle to our weekly redneck meetings in order to remain in good standing... In cold weather like this, there is also a requirement to leave the truck running for the duration of the event.

You must belong to one of the more traditional groups. Out here we can bring a girl friend although bringing your own wife is frowned upon.

That's what the box is for.

The instruction manual that came with my Silverado specifically stated that wimmen could load supplies in the box... I naturally assumed that it was off-limits for them to actually travel in it, but I suppose that it makes sense, afterall, someone really should be back there to let me know if the beer is starting to freeze.

How?

Why?

Actually.. first, why, then how.

Where to start? Ramming french down our throats? Destroying fisheries on both coasts? Banning oil drilling off the BC coast? Preventing the opening of a mine even after it got provincial approval?Caving in on the softwood lumber dispute? Long gun registry? How much you want?

Oh.. so you just don't want control over things that anyone but the CPC would support.

Right.
