Ouch...that's gonna cause a stir
There's no gentle way to put it: People who give in to racism and prejudice may simply be dumb, according to a new study that is bound to stir public controversy.

The research finds that children with low intelligence are more likely to hold prejudiced attitudes as adults. These findings point to a vicious cycle, according to lead researcher Gordon Hodson, a psychologist at Brock University in Ontario. Low-intelligence adults tend to gravitate toward socially conservative ideologies, the study found. Those ideologies, in turn, stress hierarchy and resistance to change, attitudes that can contribute to prejudice, Hodson wrote in an email to LiveScience.

"Prejudice is extremely complex and multifaceted, making it critical that any factors contributing to bias are uncovered and understood," he said.

That would explain why some individuals on this forum take issue with me because I believe that all people should be equal before the law.

It's a little silly to attach racism to conservatism. Yes, racists will tend to gravitate towards conservative beliefs just as some thugs will gravitate to socialism. This does not mean all conservatives are racist any more than it means all socialists are thugs.

Speaking of prejudice!

No-one attached the two.

That's what it said, yup.
This does not mean all conservatives are racist any more than it means all socialists are thugs.
It didn't say anything different than that.

Speaking of prejudice!
Yeah. Reading your impression into what was actually written in the article is a good start on it.

Unless you count David Icke's lizard people.

Comes first?
Icke's Lizard people are shape shifting humanoids, not human. I look at it as a metaphor for the reptilian mind set of those who want to rule the world and subjugate humanity. The base of our brain is reptilian and rules our instinctual behaviour. Domination seems to be an instinctual behaviour for psychopaths.

If a being changes from being a lizard to a human, regardless of what's on their mind, they are still human.
It was a joke anyway. Not meant to be over-thought and analyzed.

Why are people resistant to change? In many cases those who want to change things
state they want to change things. The often say what they want to change but not why.
If changes are not explained people will not embrace the change. Its all about buying
a pig in a poke as it were.
As for prejudice, most say people hate others because they feel superior and I say the
exact opposite. People hate other and minimize them because they are actually afraid
of them. Fear and run away imaginations are the biggest causes of fear which in turn
brings out the negative thought.
If it was because of education, or poverty or privilege alone history would demonstrate that.
There are well educated people who hate, there are ignorant people who are rich. and some
poorly educated that are rich and don't hate anyone. If find that it is mostly fear, and the
persons own feelings of inferiority that cause this problem. There are many conservatives
who work with others of all colours and faiths, and there are some socialists who hate damn
near everyone they know.
Low IQ has nothing to do with it.
