How can an office in Canada stand up for gay rights in Botswana?
Paradoxes give me migraines. Anyone have ASA?
No, I thought you were referring to NAFTA.
Actually, it's quite common for the left of one jurisdiction to agree with the right of another jurisdiction, be it a country, province, etc on certain points and vice versa, or for the left or right to change its position or even switch sides completely on certain points.
This isn't about religious Freedom. It's a tool, that will be used to criticize Muslim countries. Of course, nations that buy weapons from us and open their markets to us, will be given a pass (ie Saudi Arabia). Basically, it's another way to level criticism at Iran, while fabricating the illusion of being an independent body. It's our version of the National Endowment for Democracy.
"Is Uganda Muslim???? Or did you just forget to think?"Is Uganda Muslim???? Or did you just forget to think?
Do you still have to be reminded to wash behind your ears?
Whatever happened to the Office of Accountability?
"Is Uganda Muslim???? Or did you just forget to think?"
It's not even up and running yet. Wait and see where the money gets directed.
Yes, there will be a few minor projects directing criticism at non-Muslim countries to maintain some obfuscation of its real purpose.
"Do you still have to be reminded to wash behind your ears?"
That's a very clever insult. Be sure and write that one down. Otherwise, this monumental wit might be lost for all time.
Really? My friend just had a big ass Catholic wedding in Shanghai. In China where well religion is frowned upon to put it mildly.

You are aware that aboriginal people are a religious minority in this country and that they are persecuted by our government (in spite of what some on here think). Will this new conservative bureaucracy deal with this injustice?Myself i agree with parts of the Harper foreign Policy. As you appear to be a thinking person, you are more than aware of how religious minorities are persecuted in many countries.
Christianity is frowned upon, people are monitored, clergy harassed etc. You know that.
Is it really?
It would appear that, after the G8/G20 Toronto conference, freedom to demonstrate in this country is not so free. Are they free - Are people free to demonstrate in China -
