Well, I have been accused of being Islamophobic. Would you consider that a fair assessment?
No, what I am saying is that he loses me mid-way when he reverts from activist to victim. There is a lot wrong with Islam and this fellow identifies a small segment of what is wrong (19 Hijackers-Terror Organization) Then he reverts to the old Islamophobe bit which quite frankly I find to be a cop out. I have seen this card thrown out as a defense mechanism post 911, post terror attacks in the UK, post massacre at the school in Georgia. Western Muslims are not under attack, but the writer of this article would have had my fullest support if he had placed the blame squarely with those who are defaming his religion with their warped interpretation.
Modern Muslims like Tarek Fatah have spoke loud and clear about the morons who are hijacking their faith and need not toss out a race card. In Fatah case he is highly respected for his courage and determination to bring change.

That it spiked should be enough for concern. Interesting that whenever there is a violent act, like the clown in Norway, everyone jumps to conclusions about Muslim terrorists. The hate propaganda is working fine.
Chanting death to America, burning down and murdering people over cartoons and killing thousands in terrorist acts works far more effectively at making people jump to conclusions, than any propaganda you might perceive was being generated by the West.
And why do you suppose a bunch of Middle Eastern loonies started acting like a bunch of loonies? Their violent acts are the result of something. They didn't just escape from an asylum and go nuts over night, decide to blow themselves up just for shytes and giggles. We are talking about symptoms not causes here. History has created this mess and throwing more violence at it is only fanning the flames.
The disturbing component in this sad little opera relates to the train of logic and motivation behind the acts themselves.... Factor-in the twisting of the religious element to support the acts and we're left with a circumstance that is a perpetual opening of Pandora's Box.
Difference being these Japanese were Canadian citizens. Yet our government stole their property and sold it,and forced them to move away from their homes into what amounted to concentration camps in the interior.
