We need to vote a white Catholic in ASAP. These white born yesterday Christians in Ottawa are being brainwashed by Muzzies.
The latest records I seen about how many people from India are in the nation only shows 962,665, not a million. It's close, but try not to round up things to try and make your argument somehow more valid.
And even if there is a million people from India in Canada.... SO WHAT? They only make up 3.08% of the total population of the country. There's more Russians in Canada then there are Indian.... There's more Irish, Scottish, German, Brittish... and on and on.
You make it sound like some evil plot.
While there is 3% of the population of Canada being from India, 1.1% of Australia's population is Indian, England itself has 2.7% of it's population coming from India..... and while their % is smaller than Canada's..... they have around 1,414,100 people from East India..... You have to also keep in mind the size of Canada compared to places like France, Mexico or Australia..... Canada is a lot larger, thus their amount of immigrants and % will be fewer than Canada's.... yet England/UK is far smaller then most other countries, yet they have a higher population.
So if anybody is going to bitch about immigrants from India, it's England/UK, not Canada.
Canada is not the big hub for East Indians to suddenly move to... if any country has that title, it's the UK.

Face it.... you're not really concerned about the well-being of Canada as a nation, you're more concerned about minorities and people who aren't like you who you pass by and deal with on a day by day basis in your life.

I have no idea what your race is, what your religious beliefs are, what your family heritage is, or whenever your family eventually moved to Canada..... but what I do know is whatever your family background & history is, you ain't king sh*t to dictate the faults of others and get all up on your soap box to preach the good word as if you're speaking the gospel.

Praxius- I suggest you will find the bulk of the East Indian population in Canada concentrated in about 150 square miles in the south west corner of the country.

I didn't say Vancouver- in fact there are far more in Surrey and Abbotsford.

Thanks, well the 2001 figures certainly prove I was wrong and Petros is right and he still well may be but I would suggest that the 2011 figures (which should be available shortly) would greatly bolster the figures for B.C. We have scads of them now.
That would be reasonable as I believe complete censuses are done every 10 years (ending in 1) while partial censuses are done in years ending in 6. If I'm not mistaken!

51% of the East Indian population in Canada is in Toronto. The greater Vancouver area is home to about a fifth.
ETA: I see others have commented also. The most recent data available is 2006 Census data. It takes about two years for the census to be worked on to the point where they can release a report on all the various demographics.
