I said when they first announced the supposed death of OBL that it would be used to justify removing rights from the people. Well here is the proof. 3 provisions of the Patriot Act that circumvent the 4th amendment and due process that were due to expire at midnight tonight have been extended after a bill was rushed through the house and senate in 1 day with the debate based upon the increased terror threat level created by the assassination of Bin-Laden.

Yup! Hitler won the war and Obama is just a darker version of Bush. The Dems have taken over the right and the Reps are so far out in right field, they are almost out of the park.

I think this has less to do with politics and more to do with the globalist's agenda of a big-brother world.

The Patriot Act hasn't changed my life a bit except a little longer wait at the airport security line.

Much ado about nothing.

Ah, the Patriot Act ain't that bad. It's got the word Patriot in it, so I would be a freedom hater if I didn't agree with it right? ;)
Patriot is and acronym for it. The official title is Uniting and Strengthening America by Providing Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism Act of 2001.

It's too funny to call it patriot, what a great propaganda ploy.

A patriot does not give up his rights but fights to keep them. A patriot does not give control of his life to the federal govt. A patriot upholds the Constitution and the Bill of rights and will fight to maintain them, not bow down before rich globalists and watch them destroy the documents.

It's a mugs game. You need the Patriot Act if you get Bin Laden and you need him if you don't. Just like you need torture, regardless of the fact that none of the information that led to Osama was derived from it. It's the sign of a society slipping silently and steadily into tyranny.. led by the 'best of intentions'.

Correct, just as the Committee of Public Safety was all about protecting the public. Nothing like a good beheading to make everyone feel safer.

Is it just me, or does anyone else find it hilarious that someone that has repeatedly stated that he thinks anyone that legally and peacefully exercises their right to freedom of expression, should be charged with a crime, starts thread after thread, crying about a perceived infringement of rights and freedoms?

A country that resorts to arbitrary measures.. and former Bush officials were all over the airwaves lauding their use of torture and the suspension of habeas corpus for designated 'terrorists' in bringing bin Laden to justice.. in a 'state of war' that is never fully defined and poses a never ending 'threat'.. is a country that lost it sense of idealism, due process and destiny.. and its confidence in Constitutional principles. And is well on the road to tyranny.

Where are you seeing the death of OBL entering into the debate?
I did not have coverage of the whole debate but a couple of interviews with Reps and Sens the 'recent increase in the threat level' was referenced. This was quoted as part of the debate multiple times on different news shows.
