Interfering with humanitarian food and medical aid to 1.5 million people is a crime against humanity. Abducting children and using them to block bullets and search for explosive devices are war crimes. Deliberately destroying the ability to treat water and sewage are war crimes. Read the article closely. It sounds like there will be a Palestine in the near future. They have elections this fall. We'll see how well Hamas does after a legitimate democratic party is funded to the hilt by the west. I doubt Israel will participate in supporting anyone after creating Hamas and having that literally blow up in their faces.

It won't be the funding that Hamas will need to be able to form a state, it will be if they can be trusted and responsible to maintain a state that will bring their peoples living standards up. Those Christians you refer to I am pretty sure they would prefer to live under an Israeli government than Muslim. Most Christians have no problems living in Israel, they need each other if they want to survive in the Mid-East..
