Quite a shame you don't have that same attitude towards govt propaganda.

I do, propaganda is propaganda. But truth is truth no matter if it's right or wrong. You may find it difficult to see that through my use of sarcasm and satire. Propaganda is a tool. Once you understand that is what it is used for you can start to consider why that was used just then. Everyone who gets slight of hand knows the value of distraction.

You aren't a subject to be preached at, you have the ability to find out all kinds of information yourself with the Internet. I think most people see through propaganda when they use even a small amount of their ability and some critical thinking.

That is all any one is asking of you. So what's the big deal?

No this is not "mission accomplished," and Obama did not make the mistake of announcing it that way. What it is is "vengeance accomplished." Dealing with terrorism is a long term mission. It took decades to eliminate the left-wing terrorist groups of the 1960s to 1980s and it will take a similar length of time to deal with Muslim terrorism.

It's a step in the right direction- maybe keep the rest of them checking their back trail.

There is no such thing as mission accomplished. Someone probably said that at the end of WWI, or WWII. That was a long time ago. There will always be another enemy to hunt down.

I find it funny you think left-wing is a terrorist group. Please do explain this point of view.

You've read the post explaining left and right haven't you? Did you read some of the replies? I don't think the correct explanation did a single bit of good to enlighten the unknowing. Do you?

It's sad but what are you gonna do?

Why? Terrrorists aren't confined to any political group.
Terrorists are ethier far right or far left and none fall in the the middle. They ethier want radical change (left wing) or they are pro-religious law (or something along those lines) and want everything traditional (Right wing).

Actually it wasn't very funny. These left-wing terrorists killed several hundred people before they were stopped.
Try checking the Red Army Faction in Germany Red Army Faction - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

and Japan Japanese Red Army - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

and the Red Brigades in Italy Red Brigades - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

These are a few of the left wing terrorist cells that existed during the 60s, 70s, and 80s. They committed a number of atrocities before they were eventually hunted to extinction. I realize that these events may be before your time, but the historical record is out there; you just have to look at it.

I don't understand why they needed some Navy Seal operation to get computer discs and drives that were put there by CIA operatives to begin with.
There is just no rational discussion to be had if you believe that.

Can there ever be a rational discussion between two opposing views? We all believe what we want to believe. There are always two sides to every story. Who is right depends on which person you ask. But shutting down a conversation by saying that the other view is irational cuts off you from hearing why that person came to their conclusion. That to me is irrational.

Sure there can, but, as Roy Green oftens says, you can't out think someone who doesn't think at all.

I suppose the Kandahar attacks yesterday were orchestrated by Navy Seals too.

I'd say the problem is more that it's impossible to have a discussion with someone who only listens to themselves.

The sky is falling, the sky is falling, and it's all the "Jews", "americans", "western worlds" fault........ usually in that order.

He didn't say that the left wing was a terrorist group. Like the right wing, the left also has extremists that will blow people and things up in order to force their political views.

Just try and stick with reading what's there.

I've listened to all the phoney conspiracists for years and am tired of their stupidity. I enjoy listening to a lot of opinions but nothing that dumb.

Your parameters for terrorism are obviously a lot narrower than mine. My definition is anyone who instills fear in innocent people.

I actually subscribe to the theory there are 3 sides to every dispute...my side, your side, and the truth!

So when the US govt and military did their 'shock & awe' thing in Iraq????
