All courtesy of prohibition. So you are not bothered about all the associated costs of drugs. Thefts, rehabillitation costs, incarceration costs, high insurance costs...............costs that eventually trickle back on us the taxpayer?

I don't think he's been more fiscally responsible, myself. If he was, I might consider voting for him.
Firstly, if the G20 taught us anything it's that we don't need more police. We could suffer a higher crime rate per capita and the loss of civil freedom in favour of extra security just isn't worth it.
I mean, just look at how crazy it can get:
"....Queen and Spadina...."
Once upon a time there was a church on that corner. That is where i was married, 42 years ago.
I don't think there are any churches there anymore, it's mostly bars, coffee shops and fast food joints now.
Did you used to live in Toronto, Jack?
In later years, when our kids were four and five years old, I tool a trip to Toronto with them to show them where Mommy and Daddy got married. When I arrived there I was shocked to the the Bank of Hong Kong. I felt like someone just ripped off a piece of my heart.
Sorry for getting off topic.
Not particularly, but I think Harper is probably the most fiscally responsible, seems to be holding the line on taxes and he's at least making a token attempt to get tough on crime.
I really haven't noticed a ding on my bottom line from drug related matters, considering all the other taxes we get nailed for, it 's a drop in the bucket.
Also, why are we incarcerating drug users anyways? Quit that practice and you save a bunch right there.
Not to mention the cost policing of it and the ability to tax legal drugs to create revenue.
Hmm.. that sounds pretty fiscally responsible.
.....and less intrusive into someones own choices, which is what I thought cons wanted....less government.
I lived in Toronto, when I left mining and found a job in tire manufacturing. First I had an apartment at Royal York and Lakeshore, then I upgraded to another at Lawrence and Martin Grove. Then I met the love of my life, got married on the above-mentioned corner, where the St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church had stood. Our first apartment was at Lawrence and Weston Rd. One year after we bought a house in Bolton.
