I did not hear a peep from moderate muslims or imams in Canada or the U.S. denouncing the actions of the head hunters or cutters in Afghanistan ...no appologies whatsoever, so why should any of us over here appologize for for the actions of some nutty preacher in Florida...
To compare the two or propose one as a reasonable explanation the other defies intelligent reasoning.
Has political correctness gone this far.....?

Yes, why would we. I don't recall any of my Sikh friends apologizing for the Air India bombing. I don't recall any of my Catholic friends apologizing for the IRA. None of my Jooish friends apologized for Adam Sandler. None of my friends in Calgary have apologized for Harper.

You are quite correct, I have yet to hear anything from the moderate muslims either.

Of course I also haven't heard an apology from the christian churches. Was there one that I missed somwhere?

It really is getting frustrating to have all this turned into a religious war though, we all know how well that has done in the past.

The sad part is if Muslims simply gave up the false Christians would go on to name somebody else as the new enemy. Before Muslims became a threat to the world the USSR was the mortal enemy of the free world. Today the free world is a threat to itself because the biggest danger comes from the 5% that make up it's elite population. (yes I am part of the 95%)

One day those 5% will come to realize they are elite in their wealth and their own minds only...I certainly wouldn't want to be in their fold when all hell finally breaks loose.

I think the one thing that seems to have been forgotton in all this outrage over the pastor and the murders is that the Afghanis are once again under the control of an invading force without any declaration of war. They were oppressed by the USSR, oppressed by the Taliban, and now oppressed by the western forces. I guess if I hadn't caught a break in 30+ years I'd be ready to riot and maybe make a few heads roll too. Probably pissed off a few with this statement but thats the way I see it.

"We just want to let followers of Islam across the globe know that, hey, we're totally with you on this one, so do your worst," said U.S. deputy secretary of state Thomas Nides, who spoke to reporters this morning shortly after CIA agents secured Jones with duct tape and tossed him face-first into the cargo bay of a DC-9 aircraft. "You want to shove a Bible in his mouth and kick it through the back of his head? Fine with us. Want to behead him on the Internet? Send us the URL—we'd love to have a look." Officials also noted that if the world's radical Islamists are still angry after dealing with Jones, the U.S. has "dozens more just like him, so say the word."

Seriously, it changed at 9/11 and he bacame one of the mockers of anybody who doubted the official story. The derogorory slang is only ever applied to one group in the unending conflict. George Carlin went the other way and he has fans that think he is god. He even had christianity down except for the fact there are christians and there are false christians. Only one term is ever used, much to my confusion cause confronting somebody is the best way to start change, .... oh yeah, ...... that side of 'the family' would kill you.
