I wouldn't go that far. I think the problem is that, in many cases, people aren't even discussing the same things. I recently started a thread about problem solving. I did it specifically because some folks here really have no idea how to do it. I know that is a big issue with CB (He laughed off the thread). CB, like so many others pass right over defining the problem and understanding priorities. Unless and until you do that, there really isn't any point in moving on with a discussion.
Take this thread for instance, What is the problem? Is it that UN folks are being killed? Is it that Religious nutters are given too much publicity. Is it that western armies are unwelcome in Afghanistan. Until people can agree on the problem, no problem will ever be solved. There's nothing really wrong with that if you choose to be here for entertainment sake. Don't take it too seriously.
I'm not the best follower. I think I'll just stay right here if you don't mind. As I said, I'm only in this to refute the argument that the pastor's actions are equally responsible for the riots and murders as the actual people rioting and murdering. Are we still in disagreement on this? It's been hard to tell when you insist on wandering away to new topics when the previous one hasn't been resolved.
Nice plan but things don't work like that here. Letting them have the last word (an off topic or personal attack) lets them falsely believe that they 'won' the debate'. Nor would giving up on something you believe do you any good, the condition would still follow you from thread to thread. That's why I stick to just a few topics.

Having 12 certificates to do withe welding should prevent a person from accepting such nonsense, no such luck so I appreciate the warning but I'm well aware of who I'm dealing with. On a rare occasion they start feeding on themselves and that can be a bit entertaining by itself although I would never intentionally set it up, they do a well enough job on their own.

No we generally agree, I tend to add the condition tha knowledge may tip the scale in the other direction, if he knew it would cause a roit the publishing it was the criminal act, burning it should have been a 'private matter'
