I guess the equivalent would be if Libya bombed a police station in the US or Canada, since we are at war with them. If some of the police were in the military reserves, does that make the entire police station and everyone in the building legitimate targets? Also who are the other 150 people who were killed at the same time.

Also, Hamas calls everyone who is killed by Israelis a martyr. Even women and children. So that term doesn't translate to soldier or militants.

Regarding the IDF herding 50 men, women and children into a building and then dropping a bomb on it. That is only one of about 150 documented incidents which could be war crimes. That one may have been an accident like Israel claims, but try explaining why Israel blocked ambulances from evacuating the wounded for 4 days as children died of dehydration next to their mother's corpses.

When I read Goldstone's statement, I get the feeling he just wants his life back.This guy and his family have been harassed continuously since he agreed to lead the investigation about two years ago.

Even the IDF investigations conclude their soldiers have committed war crimes.

But whenever something comes before the UNSC, the US usually uses their veto to protect Israel. "as a matter of policy" Means the boots on the ground were not hunting any specific individuals, if it moved it was fair game or did those 400 explanations not absolve all IDF troops of war crimes? From the air could have been a different set of parameters, hit the designated target no matter who appears to be around.

The Judge is acknowledging the final say on the matter as determined by the UN, all 400 acts were the way civilians can expect to be treated by any military force sent in against them, no matter where and nobody will even be in the wrong.

Part of the definition that Israel uses to define terror is just being in fear of attack is terrorism. I wonder how many times the Judge felt that personally since the report came out?

I don't have anything to retract, I said Israel would be found innocent after their first round of explanations, and now they have been, officially. Wonder if the Judge feels like that Indian from Sask (who passed away recently) who ran afoul of the Jews and they haunted him for the rest of his life even after he apologized. They aren't any different today if that is who you admire, ... that is who you admire. In the last few days Israel's leader proposed a 3sq mi harbor, rather than far out to sea pick it up in Gaza City and do enough to open up a harbor/ airport just like they wanted but mostly on land. Perhaps the saved money could include a sorting facility on Cyprus and manned by some members of the UN Security council, past or present, say one indigenous to the area to do the sorting according to a list compiled by Israel and the UN. That was Gaza City is only served by specific boats and all containers have been packed by military staff and sealed so if the seal is intact it can be moved to distribution centers without delay.

Is the 3 mile island their opening bid in Gaza getting it goods via a different, more efficient route, and one that remove the 'blockade' label even if it is just an illusion. A 3 mile island that far out would be for loading natural Gas, taken fron Gaza's 'economic zone' as defined by the UN in 1847. Works for me .....

Trouble is, Goldstone, a former South African judge, didn’t really go that far. In fact, he said Netanyahu’s government was to blame for his adverse findings since it failed to cooperate with his inquiry.
