The ever litigious “Lord” Christopher Monckton attempted to block BBC’s broadcast of an independent filmaker’s investigation of the global climate denial movement. The Judge threw it out.
Haven’t seen the film yet, the trailer looks interesting. If Monckton doesn’t like it, it must be good.
For the record, Abraham is the scientist Monckton says looks like and “overcooked prawn”.

Physical boundary of the Earth

Much is made over the thermal discrepancy inferred from the calculation of the Stefan-Boltzmann equation but that discrepancy results from considering that the physical earth is bound by the rock/liquid surface on which we walk and omitting the atmosphere as part of the earth itself. It’s much like arguing about the surface temperature of the bottom of one’s underground cave using the S-B equation.
The actual physical limit of the earth should be when un-ionised matter drops to zero, and that could either be the tropopause or the stratopause. Commercial jet planes cruise around 12,000 metres above sea level, or 2000 metres above the tropopause. This means there is sufficient atmosphere to allow the operation of the jet engines, so the earth’s physical boundary is higher up yet again, and logically the stratopause where the temperature is 0 degrees Celsius, and hence no thermal anomaly or discrepancy.

I actually like Monckton, and Alex Jones. Neither are crazier than the AGW folks. I don't agree with everything they both come up with but I would take them over Al Gore any day.
