Gee, where are the anti-government Tea Baggers to protest against this heinous violation of the Bill of Rights?

Woops, I forgot - it was their party who passed it. Uh, never mind.

Are Canadians aware that the Patriot Act expired by its own terms in December 2009? The Democratic Party controlled Congress passed an extension of the legislation without change, and Barack Obama signed the extension into law without comment. Any comments? The Patriot Act is renewed for two years at a time. This is a level of detail I would not expect non-Americans to be aware of.

Oh no - does that means we will be once again subjected to a round of yellow and orange, alerts? Whatever the hell that meant.

Those colored alerts seemed to have been stopped, at least the broadcasting them all over the media all the time. I'm sure the pat downs will go on. I'm not sure if the people want that extra security to be stopped, plus it seems that only international flights are effected. Within the country, a walk thru a scanner maybe and a light pat down. Nothing like they show being done at major airports.

Kinda proves what I have been saying that Obama's puppet masters are the same ones that controled Bush and that there really is only a one party system in the US - the military/industrial complex party. We all live in an illusion called democracy. It is in fact a dictatorship but the illusion keeps that masses entertained while the puppet masters get richer on our labour and ignorance.

And the world will go on as if we were never here. If all works out, some of you will be able to get some good paying jobs with defense contractors and life will go on as it has since the late 1940's. Well have our Rosie the Riveters back.

America is not a dictatorship. It is a herd led by a mad cow.

I think you've kind of missed the point.

It's the big international banks. Everybody knows it. until they change monetary policy and get rid of the fed, and private banks owning and controlling national banks around the world, including canada's, the world will all be slaves to these bastards.

Look you have to give up your rights or the terrorists win. Do you want the terrorists to win? Do you want Osama bin Laden to punch your mother in the face for breakfast? Cause that's what happens if you let the terrorists win buddy!

That's a good question, you'd figure they would go nuts over a bill that craps on the constitution and costs lots of dough.

The Patriot Act is the measurement of the fear monitor that keeps people from asking the real
questions. Today it is the Banks that run the system there is no doubt of that. One of the things
we need to deal with is the way interest is calculated on a world wide basis.
Terrorism is relative, the Orange, and Red alerts were the constant fear motivation signs at the
election of Bush in his second term. Obama merely borrowed a concept that was already there.
That does not excuse him, it just means he used it. America is and always has been based on
a measure of hope and fear. Before the Muslims it was the Soviets and the Chinese and the
North Koreans and whoever else presented a quality believable target.
The other side is there is hope and victory at the end of our struggle and the reward is waiting for
you as you pass into the rainbow of life.
Sounds just like the old Soviet Crowd who preached the same thing from the other perspective.
There would be happiness and a heaven like society when the struggle was finally done. Of
course not for you but for your children. Oh and don't forget you must be afraid of the others
who don't think like you. It is also good to put a label on them just so we all know who we are
talking about.
Before we all kick America, the Muslims are doing the same thing, like the Chinese and the
North Koreans and we sometimes look under Canadian Beds to see if there might be an unknown
boogie man as well.
Yes the Patriot Act will be around as long as people are easily frightened its good mileage and
makes for many votes, after all look we are doing something. people get all worked up about it,
but it won't go away until there are enough people who want that to happen and civilization has
not even come close to dealing with inner and international fear.
