Northern Ontario,
It's been cross-posted a few times now. The source is irrelevant, except to further my point that everyone needs to tone down the rhetoric.

Yep, one of the sources is a web site that is famous for posting amatyeurishly photoshoped photos of palin's daughter...so I doubt it came from her web site.

Edit: Seems to me that most of the rhetoric has been coming from the left to-day, I could have predicted it

Yankee gun mentality rears its ugly head again...

And CNN proves how on top of things they really are: They announced that the congresswoman was dead, and then later had egg on their face as they had to retract that falsehood. What a bunch or morons...

It was in the news when she first used that on her site. The View covered it, and if you dig you might find the footage of Elizabeth Hasslebeck (sp?) speaking out against such imagery being used by Palin.

O.K. anyone feel that Glen Beck might as well have gave this guys the gun and bullets to do the shooting with??

The Media (..and won't name any for fear of being sued), FoxNews seems to be trying to ramp up the hate, bigotry and anti-immigration in the USA.

( I won't name any talking heads for fear of being sued) Hannity and Glenn Beck seem to leading the charge in creating a more divisive America.

Seriously, McCain offered $50 hr to anyone in an audience he had at a rally if they would do the same work as any illegal in the fields for 1 years.. McCain would pay his wages.. not one person stood up.

So, when the Tea Bagging Racist Republicans push e-verify down every employers throat with threats of fines, and they create a new under ground cash society void of paying Social Security, State or Federal Tax and Medicare, are they also going to cut all welfare and unemployment programs to force those "American Citizens" to go get a job not even not even blacks want to do... (as Mexican President Vicente Fox stated...) Are Hispanics going to go through what we black people went through? - Yahoo! Answers

And McCain is a ......???????

Come on, you can do it!

Republican!!!

Sarah Palin's campaign from earlier this year. I would have thought before that it's just coincidence, and I still lean that way. But after the guy who admired Glenn Beck went and shot up an office of an organization that Beck had railed on, it caught my attention. Not only that, but there was also the FBI thing about fertile ground for right-wing militias and extremists. The left has it's fair share too, environmentalists, animal rights activists, I think maybe that some people have to start being more careful how ramped up they get with their rhetoric. Even if it doesn't encourage nutbars like this @sshole, milder discourse would be better.

The Palin campaign, using crosshairs on a US map to target House Democrats who voted for the health care reform package:

yeah, I don't think the ads had anything to do with it, although the idiots on the CBC site want Palin tried for the crime...

I mean, the seats were targeted....it is simply an illustration of common usage of the English language.

I say we stay with blaming the idiot that pulled the trigger.

She told her supporters to reload as well...

He's going to get a lethal injection...but I think it's far past time that the talking heads sit back and ponder a bit. Their political opponents are people too. There's no need to call for the death of someone on the air, no need to call opponents Nazis, no need to say someone is hell bent on destroying Canada/America, whatever.

There are impressionable people out there, and they don't need any form of encouragement towards violence or sociopathic actions.

Northern Ontario,
There is no evidence so far that this was politically motivated....
The guy was just a nut as evidenced by his YouTube channel.
But why are people politicizing it?? trying to gain an advantage??

I don't know if it was politically motivated but it's hard not to assume politics when a politician is shot at a political rally

Assumptions suck but sometimes they're well deserved.

What I meant was that it could have been a Republican there and he would have probably done the same thing..
His delusions seemed to be against all politicians in his rants about the money system...etc...
The clincher would have been him wearing a tinfoil hat;-)

That is certainly fair enough.

the perpetrator was quoted as saying ''he doesn't trust government'' - that says much about him

Interestingly, the Congresswoman was said to be 'targeted' by the Palin campaign. I wonder how that is going to pan out.

Our Airport customs' agents had better start profiling anyone who looks even remotely like this:

Just to be on the safe side. By the way, to what foreign contry does he trace his ancestry if we go back far enough? I'd say NATO start planning now.

You've on discussion forums too long dude. What 'advantage' is there to gain when disusing a current event. Do you think this is just an elaborate game for your amusement? Rhetorical question of course.

Whoa. Advantage karrie.
