If someone started shooting at this guy, which I would find satisfying, where would their bullets go if the happen to miss. In a crowded grocery store I would think any direction would be like aiming at the centre of a mass. So I don't think it would be unlike gang bangers just for a different reason.
I've been known to hammer a three inch circle at 50 yards in a force advance, with screaming noises over a load speaker, and flash bangs going off all around me.

That's just me, but I highly doubt I'm alone.

O.K. anyone feel that Glen Beck might as well have gave this guys the gun and bullets to do the shooting with??
Not me. But I do think blaming anyone but the shooter is moronic.

The Media (..and won't name any for fear of being sued), FoxNews seems to be trying to ramp up the hate, bigotry and anti-immigration in the USA.
See comment below...

( I won't name any talking heads for fear of being sued) Hannity and Glenn Beck seem to leading the charge in creating a more divisive America.
...And you aren't? With your silly accusations.

He`d have made a fine military man, huh?
He wouldn't have made it past the recruiting office, let alone the psych test.

Yankee gun mentality rears its ugly head again...
No some nut with a gun and a stupid ideology, not unlike "Yankee gun mentality", killed some people.

She told her supporters to reload as well...
I tell my kids if they're ever pushed into a fight, to not stop swing until the body stops twitching.

Can you guess how many fights they get in?

There are impressionable people out there, and they don't need any form of encouragement towards violence or sociopathic actions.
So I guess you're in favour of censoring the video game industry?

Well that's the point. People like you are few and far between.
Someone who goes to the range on weekends may be a good shot but probably doesn't have military training and wouldn't be so composed in such a situation.

I agree. But I also think intense background checks, mental screening and extensive training should be a prerequisite to owning a hand gun.

Northern Ontario,
and talk about reloading? No. Sorry. Nice try though

Ya got me there....not enough research (internet surfing) on my part.

Even with weekly target practice and I have no one "shooting at me" experience...when I took my protected carry (concealed)license for prospecting the instructor had me put ten shots of timed fire at 10 yards and I had to be able to cover the holes with my hand to get the licence ....and that is easily achieved.... all ten people in the course passed that day with varying degrees of success

If the cops started exchanging fire where do you think the bullets would go?

From what I understand two people tackled this guy and he got away. Hopefully he doesn't have a stash somewhere else where he can pick up and start a second round.

I checked out his youtube, whatever his motives were is a mystery to me.

Mark, actually he was caught by those two bystanders(they say that by them doing so they probably saved many lives) and is currently in custody.

However, they are now saying that he may NOT have been working alone and they are currently looking for the second suspect(they have pictures of him, so it hopefully won't be that long before they catch that "person".

I should add that the fact you *yawn* about a horrible tragedy where a nine year old girl is murdered in cold blood shows me just what kind of person you really are.

Please tell me this wasn't the clinch pin in long list of ignorance from JBeee, that final removed all doubt for you?

Sarah Palin's campaign from earlier this year. I would have thought before that it's just coincidence, and I still lean that way. But after the guy who admired Glenn Beck went and shot up an office of an organization that Beck had railed on, it caught my attention. Not only that, but there was also the FBI thing about fertile ground for right-wing militias and extremists. The left has it's fair share too, environmentalists, animal rights activists, I think maybe that some people have to start being more careful how ramped up they get with their rhetoric. Even if it doesn't encourage nutbars like this @sshole, milder discourse would be better.

The Palin campaign, using crosshairs on a US map to target House Democrats who voted for the health care reform package:
The core Republican base is a group of extremists. Their National Conventions are full of politicians inciting idiots to pump fists and hoot for war, guns and revolution. Morons like Beck, who throw gas on the flames to pad their own pockets, are the lowest of vile media. I will give Palin the benefit of the doubt, she's likely too stunned to see a connection between her posting of crosshairs on political foe that encourage people to "reload.. aim ... fire" and the resulting violence.

Palin should be brought to justice.

Good call, seeing as it's turning out the guy was apparently a lefty.

Nuts actually just shoot whomever is there.

It is frightening how true that is. Politicizing something like this doesn't do justice to the non-political victims in this(and other similar) tragedies.

Looks more like a nut who thinks the gov is conspiring to do everything against him (like JBee would think) and thinks the answer is killing. Politicians adding fuel to this mentality should held accountable for what they do.

Hell, even if he wasn't influenced by Palin's crosshairs she is still guilty of inciting violence. That is quite obvious.

I couldn't agree more.

Then I guess you think the video game industry should be censored as well?

As soon as you start trying to play connect the dots, with tenuous blame applied to anyone but the trigger man, you negate the act and start absolving the criminal of his accountability.

Period.

Oh please.

Where were you when GWB was a behind the cross hairs of every progressive leftard's avatar?

If we go by your opinion on this matter, do you know how many people would be in jail waiting trial?

This isn't a right left thing, this is a tragic criminal act. Committed by a nut job.

Don't be a fool. A federal politican inciting revolution using images of crosshairs and words of "reload..aim etc" is different than using a playstation.
