This is my favorite thread here. Honestly, the other threads move down the page and get buried so fast that they are almost not worth posting in because nobody sees it anyways. I like how the approvers (take on the GH term deniers, which is a blatant rip off of holocaust denial, and is supposed to draw your attention as an equal to those not smart enough to see it for it's sensationalism) keep going as if they're "winning" the debate. All any of them do is keep on and on with BS and when they are really challenged they go back to being sensational and bring up tin foil hats. it's wonderful how them saying it's true is enough for them to pretend that it is a fact and not just some political spin they are shoving down our throats.

Notice how my post yesterday that 100% proves that what they were saying about my posts was complete horse sh**. Then they just moved on and started responding to other people. I guess when they are confronted for being the imbeciles they are, it is common place for them to just pick another argument to go to so they might actually "win". Way to prove yourselves, guys.

And Your Contribution??????

Parroting what others say on the internet?

So much better...

Good thing you have a high opinion of yourself.....

....and still nothing.

To bad you can't respond in emoticons, perhaps then you could give me reason why man is not causing temps to rise.

Instead you bring us what you bring to every thread.

Nothing.

Where did I say that man is not causing the temperature to rise? All I ever did was make fun at the "experts" sitting in front of their typewriters quoting one real expert here and there trying to score a point to prove their opinion. When every body knows that for every expert one finds on one side of an argument you can find an equal number on the other side.
Whether climate change is caused by man or sunspots or volcanoes or forest fires spewing co2 in the atmosphere or beetles spewing methane, the fact remains that whether man-made or not, most of those gases in the atmosphere have a long life span, and even if you turned the tap off on those gases or shut down all the factories, stopped every car ect.. the natural elements would keep it going for hundreds of years... So get used to to the heat, It's here to stay for years to come, and no amount of arguing in forums is gonna make any change any more than pi**ing in lake superior is gonna raise the water level.
For all your grandiose posturing and bullshyte wit, your opinion is no more valid than anyone in this forum.
You seem to take this Internet shyte way too seriously, so take a deep breath and relax, You're producing way too much CO2.

You cannot find an equal amount of experst in this area at all.

Gases will stay in the atmosphere but reducing emmissions will reduce overall warming, may not be a big concern to an old guy like you but I think it's inmportant for my kids to have a livable planet.

It's not postering at all, people claim it isn't warming and or it isn't man doing it. I feel otherwise.

This is a bit of a big boy debate, perhaps you should stay with the normal partisan sh*ts and giggles antics you usually supply.

I take this topic seriously, sorry if that bothers you.

OKay Chicken Little....If you think that the overall rise in temperature of a degree or two over the next century is a catastrophy, I'll leave you to your running around with your tinfoil hat.

I sure would take those couple of degrees this winter and a few more if you have any to spare....Have yourself a good night.................

It seems the US military takes this stuff seriously.

Perhaps if you call me some more names it will all go away.

Tinfoil hat nothing...the rocks and minerals of earth have recorded what can happen when temperature changes by only a few degrees.

A few degrees in the other direction and most of the Northern hemisphere is blanketed with ice sheets...a few degrees matters. It matters for all of the strained water reservoirs, it matters for already threatened species, it matters for agriculture, it matters for conservationists like anglers and hunters, it matters for coastal communities...a few degrees as an average over the planet means 10 degrees or more at the poles.

Scientists ring alarm bells because the data they collect compels them to communicate risks, that's their job. That's not a conspiracy theory, that is using scientific theory...the conspiracy theorists are those who insist that bankers and scientists collude to fudge results, or those who think that the thousands of studies from the many different disciplines are all part of some socialist scheme. They're called conspiracy theories because they rely on secret plots.

Is there any evidence that all of these scientists are motivated by socialist goals? Nope. Is there any evidence that the data they collect is a consistent and compelling argument to consider? Absolutely.

I like David Phillips.....

Dailymotion - The Effects Of Climate Change - a Tech & Science video

From 2:20 onward
And he doesn't "Pontificate"

Interesting that you mention David Phillips, he works with my sister and I have met the man on a few occasions. He and a few other experts I have met are the reason I am no longer a skeptic.

This video is a good one, he basically says it's real, we are causing it, we need to curb emmissions and prepare for the damage we have already done.

Good post.

Um, sorry, Ironsides, but I clicked the link and the first thing I saw after what the link is about, I saw this and I have to mention that anyone who says they are right about everything make me suspicious.

Have to agree with you, but the article was pretty good.

Who cares if it warms up for a while. It's not the first time man has dealt with change and it won't be the last but sooner than later good ol Sol is going to wipe out the majority of electrical circuts putting man back into the steam age for at least a full decade making a little flooding look like a day at the beach.

Where do you get a planet sized tinfoil hat?

That mea culpa statement by a lot of "experts" is what I have a problem with.
We may be one of the causes, but I do not believe we are the main cause as some carbon credit broker would have us believe.
All the other causes mentioned by David Phillips seem to be forgotten in all the hype... and he does say that we're gonna get it even if we turn of every car on earth.
The manufacturing revolution may just be the proverbial drop in the bucket.

I'm always a sceptic when ringleaders in anything stand to make a fortune at the expense of the rest of us.

The credibility of the hacks who started the whole craze are questionable at best. When industrialized global farming is off the table as a planetary fix I'll begin to once again re-evaluate what is being sold to the people. A fear driven brainwashing drive telling us money will fix any alleged problem is hint enough that we are being had.

Ring leaders? You mean the scientists who have done years of study for very little compensation who have brought AGW to our attention or the carbon industry that has a lot to lose?

If we aren't the cause what is?

What else is driving the temps up?

Phillips didn't say do nothing, that is the furthest from what he is saying.

....and as usual the old denier logic of the extreme of we have to turn off all cars and close all factories is so tired and worn out.

No one is saying that.....but guys like you.
