What a bunch of horse ****! Don't any of you flag waving, chest thumping, saber rattling non contenders even talk to a Vet once in a while? Not a fekkin one of them have told me they fought for anything other than to kick some ass or because it was their job. Now I know all of you "patriots" bravely go each year to out do the next guy on showing how proud you are of remembering those who served each year on the Internet. But don't try and tell me it was so that you can lord something over others on a forum. Any time you wanks want a gut check feel free to load up and ship out to Iraq or Afghanistan and kill some assholes so that I can post on the Internet, be sure to send some pictures home for the rest of us here.

Taking it you have not been in the Military, and that is not a slap directed at you. How can anyone explain how we look upon those that have served, are serving and the friends we lost.

I cannot explain that bond. I could try but I am not well veresed in excellent writing skills to show that to you. There are many letter - posts that have been written that do explain that personal bond a soldier has and i think many always have till they die.

But it does exist. And many of us remember them throughout the year, not just on one Day.

The USA is despised by most through-out the world over. There is no denying this fact.

Actually, there is. America is not even despised by its so-called enemies. The average Iranian has a very pro-American view. Just be because Ahmadikiyam has a hard-on for the west, doesn't mean the people of Iran do. I think it's pretty clear that your grip on reality is tenuous at best.

Report you? Now that would be a `squirrelly` thing to do.

Just the thought you carry that your words offend me or my post has `offended` you or anyone else sort of reinforces my view of what flakey wimps now occupy our gov., the fawning, politically correct media and our `speak no evil-hear no evil-see no evil` general population.

Rather than speak out and call a spade a spade when our cowardly ass-kissing leaders follow in lock-step with our terrorist neighbour to the south, we coil up in fear of `offending` meanwhile cry crocodile tears as our dupes are carted home with missing limbs and worse. Just this week I caught a few (2 minute) news clips of our injured military dupes and the lack of funds to keep those returning from living on the streets.

Yea...a proud Canadian I`m not.

Have you ever wondered if there are days when you shouldn't do any thinking?

We live in a two-faced joke of a society run by the media and the almighty dollar.

Its a shame our fore-fathers had to fight and die for the sick culture we call `democracy` today.

Still we cheer on our latest dupes doing America`s dirty work and mourn, for just a moment, the returned body bags then back to our usual, sick war-mongering ways.

Hypocrites, the lot of us.
Why don't you go overseas and live with your buddies in caves and wear rags, and drive camels???

I guess I should clarify.

It would be US foreign policy and it`s people`s (US citizen`s) general sense of indifference/ignorance on how a negative effect it has on innocent people of those countries.

That is, untill a segment of the effected populations rise against those policies and act. Then its, `why me...why us??` 9/11 being a prime example.

Americans are a brain-washed people up to thier necks in **** and still unaware how much thier gov. has jeopardized the future for them...that is untill reality comes a-knocking at thier doors again.

We allowed our military power to stagnate, starting with that arsehole Trudeau, because we were protected, safe under the umbrella of the USA in North America, and NATO in the world at large. We signed on to treaties with both entities with our eyes wide open, and then let the big boys carry the weight.

Trudeau was the greatest Prime Minister Canada has ever had, and we'll never seen anyone better.

...as opposed to living in a luxury condo, wearing the latest fashion and driving an 8 cylinder gas-guzzler?

Hell no, just the bull**** that Gramps signed up for some ultra noble reason and so no one should ever say that a country going to war over greedy rich corporate needs is a bad thing even when that's the only reason the country is at war. If anything, Gramps went to war to avoid being seen as a pussy, an escape from poverty or because he was some what unbalanced and felt the need to kill others without all the hassle of being guilty of it.

Ask a politician why they are a politician and they will tell the public it's their way of serving their country and making the world a little better. If they know you're a politician and have a had a few, they wink and nod and say nice pension too.

While it's understandable that Jbee is posting stuff with an uncomfortable focus at times when we trot out the Vets for a quick feel good photo op moment, he bang on the money when it comes to foreign policy. Let corporations dictate meddling in a foreign country that costs lives and livelihood, and you have to expect some sort of blow back. How would you feel if China for example, sent Chinese workers to Canada to harvest trees at an alarming rate, shipping it back to China and making the Liberal party the only allowable government in Canada by force? Would you smile and watch the forests go or would you speak up? Now if that stand you took resulted in everyone but a couple of the people who lived in your town were killed by a Chinese funded, armed and supported military, would you do anything about it since you have no family left alive, no job except hauling logs to the ships for transport?

Or would you be a terrorist and go shoot some Chinese **************** down at the bar?

No that does not bother me. Does the question bother you so much that you come back with such a lame reply?

Of course it does hypocrite. You been ranting away here for a few days now about him posting it. So to recap, you feel that though Vets when to war to make sure that we can enjoy freedom here in Canada, you just don't want people that have a different opinion than yourself to be allowed to express that opinion. Bit late for the short bus aren't you tardy.
