About a week & a half back, there was a triple murder in Regina:

CBC News - Saskatchewan - 3 Regina deaths probed as triple homicide

The Local Police where extremely closed-mouth about this situation, like they usually
are here to an extreme not found in other police jurisdictions. Now a questionnaire has
been sent out (to the best of my knowledge at this point) to the entire housing complex.

Withholding information about triple homicide investigation tactic of Regina police | News Talk 980 CJME

I'll provide a LINK: Regina police send questionnaire to neighbours of family in triple homicide | News Talk 980 CJME
and also copy&paste it here, in the event the LINK becomes a dead LINK.

I would like you to read the following instructions very carefully before you start answering the questions. I would like you to realize that:
1) Every word is important, and each one might be checked later on.
2) This is not a draft, and you have only one chance to write down the answers. So before you write, we would like you to think as to how you are going to phrase your answers.
3) Please write your answers as detailed as you can to enable us to understand your case.
4) Use only a pen while writing (no pencils). No typing is allowed.
5) Write in clear handwriting in order to enable reading.
6) You are not to make any corrections on the questionnaire. If you feel that you would like to change your answers, please do it in the space provided for that purpose, or put the mistaken sentence within parentheses and continue on. Your correction will be taken into consideration.

(Editor's note: Page two)
B. The Regina Police Service is investigating a murder that happened at 323 Oakview Dr. Please tell us what you know about the murder of the people who lived at that house. Please write IN DETAIL your ideas that would account for this.

(Editor's note: Page three)
C. If you were going to conduct the investigation, how would you do it?

(Editor's note: Page four)
D. List the five (5) most important causes that would have created this situation.

(Editor's note: Page five)
E. Please write in detail everything you did from Sunday, August 1st until Friday August 6th?

(Editor's note: Page six)
F. Would you like to change any of the information you have provided?

(Editor's note: Page seven)
G. Before you answer the following questions, I would like to inform you that each word of your answers will be evaluated. I would like you to take your time and think before you answer.

(Editor's note: Page eight)

8. If you were asked to contribute money in order to pay for the therapy of the victim's relatives, how much would you pay?

Anyway....How many folks here would fill this out without first contacting Legal Council?
I know I wouldn't.

From: Regina police questionnaire angers neighbours of triple homicide victims

Regina Police Service spokeswoman Elizabeth Popowich would not comment on particular
details of the investigation, or the questionnaire that was passed out by police.

"I would simply assure people that we are conducting an investigation to try to determine who
is responsible for a terrible crime, and that any person that has nothing to hide should have
nothing to fear...," she said. "We know and have heard loud and clear that people want us to
find the person or persons responsible, and that means carrying out a thorough investigation."

As Bizarre as this "Questionnaire" is, what I find even stranger is that after
a week of stonewalling the media, etc...this "Questionnaire" is justified with
the "nothing to hide-nothing to fear fallacy." Holy Mackeral, eh?

Read through the "Questionnaire" closely. No way in Hell I'd be filling that
out without a Lawyers guidance.

They should have had someone that can put a sentence together before they sent it out. A few errors I see.

Whoever apporved this is as I an fond of saying
Eiher on the close side of dumb
or the far side of smart.
Feel free to use this phrase, with the proper attribuition of course.

Now Risus will pick this up and decalre that I have some sort of Police Phobia / Mania - past criminal behaviour -

Ron - The good Officers must find this embarassing as hell.

That is completely insane. Fill out this form and if I don't like your answers you can be prosecuted. I wonder what brainiac wrote that stuff. I wonder if anybody filled it out. Glad I don't live there, I would get arrested for my comments on where they can stuff it.
I particularly like C on page 3 - C. If you were going to conduct the investigation, how would you do it?
If you don't know, and you are trained, how do you expect me to know?

Reminds me of when my motorcycle was stolen in Montreal in 69. I was called to the cop shop to identify a bike they found. It was mine but it was smashed all to hell, like it hit a brick wall at 130 km/hr. I asked if they checked the hospitals for any suspicious accident victims. The cop asked me why they should do that. I said if the bike looks that bad, how do you think the driver looks. All he could say was "good point". Holy cow! And we pay this clown to do police work?

Wonder what happens if someone were to answer no to 2 then gave a response like because you should be doing a proper investigation to 3

Well, I'm not sure, but as long as they follow the rules:

1) Every word is important, and each one might be checked later on.
2) This is not a draft, and you have only one chance to write down the answers. So before you write, we would like you to think as to how you are going to phrase your answers.

It would be an honest answer.

They should have had someone that can put a sentence together before they sent it out. A few errors I see.

I think this went together very quickly.

I believe this link: John Gormley Live- August 11th, 2010 Hour 1 | News Talk 650 CKOM

....lead to the questionnaire in this Thread. It's an Interview by John Gormley (980 CJME)
with the Regina Police Chief Troy Hagen on Wednesday Aug.11th,2010. It's about 1/2 an
hour long, but kind of an eye opener between Policing locally in Regina, and almost
everywhere else in Canada (with the exception of the RCMP in some instances).
Weird, eh?

This questionnaire is a stroke of genius. I'd wager that the cops are counting on the stupidity of the culprits to involve themselves by filling the thing out with fabrications and false leads.

B. The Regina Police Service is investigating a murder that happened at 323 Oakview Dr. Please tell us what you know about the murder of the people who lived at that house. Please write IN DETAIL your ideas that would account for this.

Nothing, I live in Ontario.

Because I look out my office window and see the Ontario plates on my car, and I went to bed in Ontario last night.

(Editor's note: Page three)
C. If you were going to conduct the investigation, how would you do it?

I would canvass the area, and investigate the sh!t out of the crime scene. I won't be putting together a questionnaire like this, that's for sure.

(Editor's note: Page four)
D. List the five (5) most important causes that would have created this situation.

Which situation? The situation of having a questionnaire delivered to my house to fill out? Or a triple homicide?

For the former, a lax or profoundly misguided Police Commissionaire, or Polce Board, that thinks this is a really good way to fight crime.

For the latter, stupid people sometimes go off. Go figure.

(Editor's note: Page five)
E. Please write in detail everything you did from Sunday, August 1st until Friday August 6th?

Hmmm, I'm inexplicably drive to tell you to get bent. But considering I did sweet f!ck all. I feel it safe saying sweet f!ck all.

(Editor's note: Page six)
F. Would you like to change any of the information you have provided?

Yes, I was incorrect when I said a "lax or profoundly misguided". What I should have said was...A moron for a Police Commissionaire, who's underlings express and even greater amount of stupidity, by actually embarrassing themselves, by handing this ridiculous piece of paper out.

Thanx though, with these tough economic times, I can at least use this to supplement my TP stocks.

(Editor's note: Page seven)
G. Before you answer the following questions, I would like to inform you that each word of your answers will be evaluated. I would like you to take your time and think before you answer.

1. Do you know who murdered those people? Yes, some stupid f!ck with half the brain cell activity of your Police Commissionaire, and that ain't saying much.

2. Did you have any involvement in this murder? Are you f!ckin' kidding me?

3. Did you take part in planning this murder? I guess not.

(Editor's note: Page eight)
H.
1. How do feel now that you have completed this form? Sadly, dumber, but hopefully not as dumb as you should feel.

2. Should I believe your answers to the questions? You bet your sweet bippy you should.

3. If your answer to the last question was yes, give one reason why? Because this questionnaire is proof positive, that the powers that be in your leadership, are quite fit to lead a lamb down the garden path.

4. What would you say if it was later determined that you lied on the form? I'd say someone was smoking more of what ever they were smoking, when they came up with this ridiculous scheme.

5. While filling out this form, what were your emotions? I have no emotions, but being a person that feels compelled to defend the Police when I see them unfairly attacked or judged, I was made to feel foolish and embarrassed that I have allied myself with law enforcement, because sadly, you are an example thereof, of all that can go wrong with a Police Force.

6. Were you afraid while completing this form? God, even if I thought there was some way you could misconstrue my commentary, I don't think you could find me if I was wearing a large pink bird suit and had a homing beacon strapped to my ass.

7. Did you ever discuss with anyone the possiblity and reasons for this murder? No.

8. If you were asked to contribute money in order to pay for the therapy of the victim's relatives, how much would you pay? None. But I would contribute to a fund aimed at having whoever came up with examined by the worlds top brain surgeons. Obviously it's a miracle that he/she is capable of anything at all, given the very real fact that they are obviously the worlds first living brain donor.

Anyway....How many folks here would fill this out without first contacting Legal Council?
I know I wouldn't.
I would, and I would have filled it out much like I did here.

And for your honest replies you wouldn't come close to the suspect list.

As stupid as the questions sound they serve a purpose.

Everyone did exactly what this test is designed to do.

A lawyer wouldn't do you any good.

A lawyer obviously wrote these along with a very very good team of brain and social scientists.

Read the questions again but instead take notice of the three levels of the question. We already know how everyone answered the questions intellectually but how did you answer the questions emotionally and more important what was your physical response to the questions?

petros, you boggle the mind sometimes. In a good way though, that's why I like you.

Testing out a new comedy routine in Sask?

Everyone did exactly what this test is designed to do.
Illicit a response?

Is this a physical response?

Actually, that's where you're wrong. I didn't cheat.

You don't suppose I've bumped into a sociologist, or a well trained Detective, once or twice in my life?

I'm sure a fairly accurate description of my personality is actually in there. For all of that, and all it's worth, it's still irrelevant, I wouldn't have filled it out if I lived in that community. I would have laughed when I read it, and then done just as I had insinuated, used it for TP.

Feeling fairly safe in the fact that I'm not on any suspect lists in Sask, I have no real worries about what it says about my personality, that over 12,000 posts haven't already established, and confirmed, lol.

By using as TP you'd still be responding. Going to a lawyer would put somebody in suspicion though. Especially if it's an uneducated, unemployed shacked up white male living in the social housing complex that goes to legal aid.

You should Educate yourself on the basics of English common law.

One has a right not to bear witness against themselves.

I would simply refuse to talk to the police at all, after getting this........no lawyer required.
