'The US and its allies are preparing to launch a nuclear war directed against Iran with devastating consequences. This military adventure in the real sense of the word threatens the future of humanity.
While one can conceptualize the loss of life and destruction resulting from present-day wars including Iraq and Afghanistan, it is impossible to fully comprehend the devastation which might result from a Third World War, using "new technologies" and advanced weapons, until it occurs and becomes a reality. The international community has endorsed nuclear war in the name of World Peace. "Making the World safer" is the justification for launching a military operation which could potentially result in a nuclear holocaust.'

I doubt the US under Obama would nuke Iran. Under George W. Bush or some other war criminal maybe.

The US would make plans, run simulations and so on, but I suspect that unless Iran develops nukes and uses them first, that the US would not nuke Iran.

Its a violation of the NPT for a nuke armed nation to threaten a non-nuke armed nation, and a justification for a non-nuke nation to develop and arm themselves with nukes.

The US would make plans, run simulations and so on, but I suspect that unless Iran develops nukes and uses them first, that the US would not nuke Iran.

I think there's no way the US Govt would ever do it. the ramifications would be ridiculous.

imagine all the countries out there that would condemn the actions!?

and I'm not talking just the Arab nations and Muslim ones.

there are a lot of 1st and 2nd world nations that would be losing their minds! the outcome would be crazy.

it would hurt the USA 10 times harder than this recession ever would. think of all those countries that would threaten to sever ties with them?

Stretch - The US Military has enough firepower to destroy the sites without using nukes. Between bunker busters - bomms that burrow and explode - The facilities if not destroyed will be useless.
