Down_home_women, put yourself in the place of a Palestinian peasant farmer in the 1930's. All you want to do is raise a few goats, plant a few subsistence crops and live in peace with your neighbors just like your parents before you, going back at least 400 years. Suddenly the countryside is overrun by hundreds of thousands of European Jewish refugees fleeing the horrors of Nazi Germany. They start an ethnic cleansing war, chase you out your house and off your land. You pass your retirement years suffering disease and malnutrition in a refugee camp in Gaza, bombed on a daily basis thanks to tens of billions in American military aid. You have no nationality or rights even to basic foods, potable water, raw sewage flows in the streets because the immigrants bombed the sewer and water treatment plants. They block humanitarian aid which would make your miserable existence barely tolerable.

AT LEAST - in the Israeli system there is recourse. If there is something wrong, at least there is a legal system to fight it. You seem to expect perfection from Israel, but are very willing to to not expect it from Muslim countries. Why the double standard?

When the position of a section of the wall was ruled to be illegal the Israeli Courts ruled that is had to be moved, this is about 5 years later and nothing has been moved and no appeales were filed. Israel does not obey her own Courts and the Courts refuse to do anything to enforce their rulings when Arabs win the case.

So really who has the double standard? How many times had the US interfered with Gaza being able to file grievances with the ICC? At the count of one instance your whole 'see how fair Israel is ' becomes a big fat lie.
