If someone considers their progeny to be valid future sexual partners, I find it hard to trust them in raising those children, no matter what their justification for what they're doing is.
Ooooooooohhh. I see. Sorry ... brain fart. :D

Like ignorance is an excuse. lmao

She knew he was her grandson when they met though. They KNEW they were related. It's not like they had some chance encounter. It's that factor... feeling that there is ANY excuse for sleeping with your direct descendant, that would make me distrust them.

Karrie - why focus on the dark side of a situation.

I see a child being loved by a couple - whether related or not. Why is it you prefer to bring out the ugly side of this issue? Can you predict the future?

I prefer to wish the child well - to enjoy a happy place in a loving home. Parents aren't always screened ahead of time for their ability to birth and raise a child even when there is no "incestual issue" to be concerned about.

Some parents turn out to be poor parents no matter how "legitimate" the child is.

Quite so. The child is not a product of incest, there is every indication that the child will be well loved. I don't think it is anybody's business.

I guess because mentally unstable people make me nervous when it comes to the safety of a third, helpless party... and these two are not stable, no matter how filled with rainbows I want the world to be.

There is no mention of money in the article, so it doesn't necessarily have anything to do with it. It is strange but there are a lot stranger things going on with the human race. The crowded living condition of most big cities cause all kinds of aberrant behaviour in humans. This story does smack of incest though, so I can see how some people might find it offensive.

Yeah, and sick to boot..

I agree that there's the chance that an offspring from such a relationship could be coerced into the incest as well and if not with their immediate family, then it would still kinda screw up their future relationships with others, where they were born and raised to see it as being "ok".... exactly what would that do to the individual growing up in such a situation?

Which kinda raises another question in my head.

A lot of people, including myself, agree that incest isn't ok and a bit on the gross side of things.... but hypothetically speaking, if you could clone yourself into either a perfect replica of yourself, or into the opposite sex..... would you do you?

Even knowing fully well that it is a clone of you.... would you get it on with yourself? (A question for anybody, not just Karrie)

I mean, it wouldn't technically be incest and at worst.... it'd be more or less "complex masturbation."

I love you people - you are so diverse and your responses make so much sense - even to me who pushes one side.....

Thank you for another lesson in learning to open my mind to alternative views. Curio
