Trudeau was one of the only politicians that did anything positive and long lasting for this country (as far as I can tell)...Helped to form our identity ,give us our independence.( I would have chose Blue, green maybe some yellow,a little white with a touch of red for flag colours 8O,but the maple leaf was a good touch.. The flag has become a proud symbol of Canada, has grown on me and apparently all Canadians :canada
...Anyway
It is obvious to see Trudeaus' legacy lives on ,by the impact he had ,and continues to have on this country and it's people..
Years later...We're still talkn' about him ...;-):smile:
History remembers both the good and the bad ones, as long as they were outstanding. For example, people are still debating whether Louis Riel was a hero or a traitor. :lol:

I was commenting on your post that pointed out Trudeau's relationship with classy women...I was wondering what that would have to do with qualifying as a PM. Nothing more than that, really...

And do you know why it's red and white? Because those are the official colours of Canada, dating back to 1921.
Apparently, whether someone is a player or not has a bearing on your views of their ability as a PM. It's a bit scary that people eligible to vote think in such a trivial manner.He allso had classy women who had a crush on him.
It's kind of funny that Gliberal fans are adamant that Cons are no good whatsoever and Cons think the same is true about Gliberals, yet each faction have their good side and their bad side. It's like saying your right hand is no good and your left hand is nothing but good; kind of stupid in a way.
I think Turdeau could have done worse, but as I said before, he was definitely not the best. I think King and Pearson were better.

Trudea played a large part in establishing Canada's independence/identity.He Was/is a large part of our Proud Canadian History .Like 'm or not..Can;t say that about many other more recent P.M.'s besides Maybe Chretien ...
I am not a liberal by the way ..Just to set the record strait..Wouldn't want anyone to think I'm a Fiberal sympathizer ...They do tend to create the best leaders though ...Although I find them somewhat two faced , untrustworthy, with everyone elses but their own position ..but I guess some could say that about most (not all) politicians.They'll go where the money is .Say anything , play any game, for a Big Biz vote.
There's their REAL TRUE face ..Then there's the system face they all put on to fool everyone out of their money ,their election vote..Then the people are forgotten until the next election, and yet another trail of lies.....Sometimes it's hard to tell the two faces apart...More so with liberals than other parties...(I find , In my humble opinion , for what it's worth)
Anyway..Indepence is the only way to ensure true democracy ..

Not sure. Wherever he got advice from, it seems to have been pretty good, though.
Yep, he did but it may have been during doddering moments near the end of a very long career. He was the longest serving P.M. beat Trudeau by quite a few years- 22 in all as I recall.
