I guess you could interpret their behaviour as gloating, but I thought it was more like celebrating a victory. I saw more lack of sportsmanship in the U.S. team's collective behaviour...they looked like a bunch of poor losers, in spite of the fact that they won a silver medal.

Out of all the people you guys get to choose athletes from in comparison to us, I think it's pretty good. How many hockey teams do you guys have? 24 out of the 30 pro teams? lol

No, not cart wheels. And I think winning silver isn't a bad deal, but they looked (to me) like someone just ran over their puppy. I think they could have looked a bit more "not so sad" but I'm not a hockey player so maybe I don't take it as seriously as I should. :-|

And with the nice comments the pres. of the IOC made about women's hockey, I guess the only 2 medals that count are gold and silver...apparently the other countries can't be seriously involved. So maybe it was just between the 2 countries and thus, the U.S. team would consider themselves to be "the losers", vs. the winners of the silver. I don't - I still they won second place and silver is not that bad a color. Besides, with a 2-0 score, I don't think it could be considered a crushing defeat anyway. A "nice tight game" would sum it up for me.

And just for the record, I ain't no "America basher"...just commenting on a hockey match.
