Dude... about your post...Wow! See how blue the sky is today....Dude, your post was cool...like, you know, really great....Dude...Where's my roach?...Dude...uh...Murph my man...there it is...keep cool.
It's funny how some people will ask you your opinion when all they really eant to do is argue.
I hear you Talloola, I'm a very occasional drinker (read once or twice a year) after 25 years of drinking enough for myself and every neighbour within 3 blocks. What I really find annoying is when asked if I'd care for a drink and I say no thank you they keep asking you if you are sure. You begin to wonder who would benefit from the drink, you or them. At one family function I was asked by teh same guy about 50 times if I wanted a drink. Brain dead or what???????????
I had that problem for years, with our friends.
I got so tired of them pushing and asking all the time, so I
just took a glass of 'whatever' they were sloshing
down at the time) and kept it around with me all night.
They usually didn't remember it was the same one, as they
would have had a few by then, and their memories were dull,
and mine very sharp, and as soon as the balance between
my soberness and their drunkeness got too far apart, I went home.
I used to love to dance, so I went to the parties for that
bit of fun, but people sure do act ridiculous when drinking,
and I'd seen so much of it as a kid, there was no 'thrill'
in being a good sport, by keeping up with the crowd, who
by the next day often couldn't remember what they did the
night before, had hangovers, couldn't eat anything, and
were actually pretty useless, but still seemed to think they
had a good time the night before, 'go figure'.
What research, verified by what medical/scientific body? I'm not totally against pot usage but there has been very little research documented even by Europeans, who are much more liberal on the drug.
Wrong. Sugar is not a drug but one of the compounds utilized by living organisms to recover/utilize energy. It has nothing to do with the other substances you listed.
From my personal experiences, I don't care for marijuana. The buzz was ok but the 3 day brain dead period after was something I found detrimental, especially in college. And beer always tasted better to me.
I'm not against decriminalization but I am firm believer that much more research needs to be done before it is legalized, that also includes coming with ways to determine and control the potency before it can be marketed, just as brewers/distillers have to with alcohol.
Keep it recreational. Lungs aren't meant to be filtering out large amounts of crap (pot has 14 times the amount of tar of tobacco). And brains aren't supposed to get used to operating with strange chemical influences.I am a 20 yr old who smokes weed recreationally. Just curious to see the opinions of my fellow Canadians on the topic. No right or wrong, like I said simply looking for opinions.
We must keep in mind that we human beings are an addictive species, we like to repeat pleasures, physical and mental.
What is really important for a young mind to remember, is the following messages of Bergson, Henri L.
"To exist is to change, to change is to mature, to mature is to go on creating oneself endlessly"
"There is no greater joy than that of feeling oneself a creator. The triumph of life is expressed by creation"
Bergson, Henri L.
After a young mind understands this fundamental code, a little pot smoking aliens the mind with the river of creativity.
Yep. An awful lot of excellent art has been produced by people who have drank booze, done some drug or other, or have been naturally afflicted by something (like disease). Some of the best artists and artisans I have met used pot as an inspiration for their work. From commercial artists to fine furniture makers, many say they can't do what they do without a hit or two. So, no, pot does not alienate the mind from creativity, at least not in all cases. Personally, I can't function with it. That is why I quit, but I will defend anybody's right to smoke.
That is why I suggest people eat, drink or use a vaporizer. Smoking anything, except Mullen, will cause throat and lung damage.Keep it recreational. Lungs aren't meant to be filtering out large amounts of crap (pot has 14 times the amount of tar of tobacco). And brains aren't supposed to get used to operating with strange chemical influences.![]()
Vaporising will be much the same. Smoke is made of particulates, mixing particulates in with water won't change that because all you are doing is introducing the raw, unoxodized product into the lungs to be oxodized there. That is why I suggest people eat, drink or use a vaporizer. Smoking anything, except Mullen, will cause throat and lung damage.
Wouldn't health concerns be the main reason to stay away from it?Fair enough. Why do you say that? Obvious health concerns put aside.
If you didn't want negative comments why did you post the request for opinions in the first place??LOL.
You know nothing about me so just stop. Please and thank you.

That avatar is obviously a early photo. What happened to your hair?........;-)
Pot contains drugs, though (cannabinoids to be exact). Normal sugar (as opposed to refined sugar)is natural to the body whereas pot introduces an elevated level of a not so common substance.Technically, pot is not a drug either but if you have ever witnessed children on sugar you would think sugar is a drug and it is addictive. I was a sugar addict most of my life until I developed an allergy to it about two years ago. Alcohol turns to sugar in your body, that is why the majority of people with diabetes abused alcohol at some time in their lives.
So were opium and tobacco. lolThere has been tons of studies done on pot but because the US is so hysterical and gun happy about it, everybody is terrified to do studies. It has been used as a medicinal herb for thousands of years all over the planet. It was a major ingredient in many patented medicines until the Yanks got that burr up their butt back in the thirties.
lol Your old self reminds me of Tiny Tim. lolYep. Me in 73. I managed to keep the hair through my teaching career.....although captured in a ponytail........but they frown on such things when they give you a uniform......so I got in the habit of shaving my head....one extreme or the other..
Besides, it's thinner now, and doesn't do the natural frizz anymore. (sigh)
lol Your old self reminds me of Tiny Tim. lol

you are right, it is useless if you don't remember the night before and have some headache , nausea or act ridiculous before people... being conscious is more preferable than being sleepy.
