He's probably 10 times stronger than she, he wouldn't need
a golf club, or any weapon.
Does that you mean you think its ok for a weaker person to use a weapon to assault a stronger person? How far could Tiger's wife go and still get away with it? How about if she used a knife or a gun?

Can anyone justify assault because of infidelity, or only white women married to black men?

even if his motives are to help himself:-(, at least the money will help the victims.

Tiger Woods always gave a lot to charity before ANY of this. I don't think he's doing it for himself anymore than he was doing it for himself before the scandal.

I'm not justifying anything, don't make up 'my' mind for
me, just stating the facts, and don't need to explain
myself to you, it would be obvious 'what' the answer would
be to your silly question.

I'm just very glad she didn't seriously hurt him. People
react to situations differently all over the world, doesn't
really matter what gender one is.

But, if she had of seriously hurt him, all of the sympathy
would have gone his way, just as it would have, for her if he had
punched her out with his fists, and seriously hurt
her.
We all don't want to see anyone seriously hurt under the
hands of another, or any circumstances.

He would get sympathy from most people only if he got seriously hurt. Whereas if this situation were turned around, she'd get sympathy just for him having tried to hurt her.

Gender bias is just fact when it comes to abuse.

If i was a Haitian, i'd be happy to receive $3 million from anyone, regardless of ulterior motives. I'm sure it'll be appreciated.

Tiger will re-appear for the Masters in April. The siren call of the Majors will be too strong to defer. He'll go on Oprah and do the Mea Culpa thing a couple of weeks before that, and decline to answer questions at the tournament.

I'm sure he's thinking there is not much use in crying over spilt milk. He'll likely lose for good the sponsorship that played on his role model, good guy image. He'll retain that sponsorship that plays on his being the best golf player in the world, because fanatical golf players couldn't care less about his personal life, only what makes him win.. and that's a good 1/3 of his income. As long as he keeps winning he'll keep bringing in golf sponsorship.

His marriage is by all reports toast. I think he might modify his behaviour, but as a single man again, i don't think he'll become celibate, just less hypocritical.

That's one reason why I'm glad he didn't get seriously
hurt, because as it turned out, the facts fell where
they should have, and not all on her lap. I'm sure those
kids, and their mom don't need any more grief, and it could have turned out
that she was arrested for killing him.

There's another HUGE double standard.... no one would grant custody of those kids to a man who'd taken after his wife with a golf club. No way, no how. Regardless of the reason.

You got that right; if the genders were reversed, it would be a whole different story.

good, it turned out for the best in this situation, in my opinion, (if there
has to be a situation at all).
and the situations can't be generalized, each one for it's own identity.

Damn...where does white and black fit in this? What does infidelity have to do with race?

There are many many world class golfers, who are among
the best in the world, who are 'fine people', who care about their families, and also want to win.

Does this sound serious?

...According to Furman Bisher – one of America’s most respected sports journalists — Elin smashed Tiger’s cheek bone and his two front teeth were almost knocked out...

The injuries required reconstructive facial and dental surgery.

probably similar to a hockey injury, reconstructive is
probably some stitches, maybe a little plastic surgery, and the other a couple of teeth
replaced, deal with it Tiger, did you think you could bed
down with all of those women, then calmly carry on with
your married life, and have it both ways, come on, you
lit the fuse of dynomite, then got in the way, you can't
treat your wife in such a shabby way, and not expect
backlash, you arrogant son of a b****.
I'm just glad for her sake, that she didn't kill him,
as she and her kids don't need to be in big trouble,
when it is him who is the guilty party.
